Slavery Flap Shows Emory University Professors are Morons
27 Feb 2013
6:27 pm
Warner Todd Huston
Earlier this month the President of Emory University wrote a piece for the school magazine about the efficacy of compromise. By the 24th he was forced to apologize for the piece because he mentioned slavery fully in context in his piece. The faux outrage that his comments caused proved three things: that no one at Emory has any grasp of American history, that the professors at Emory University are morons, and that the student body are utterly unable to employ critical thinking.
The segment that upset everyone was utterly innocuous and …

Guns: Profane to Mention
22 Feb 2013
2:14 pm
Dave Blount
In a free country, a gun isn’t just a tool for self-defense and hunting. It is the reification of liberty — the empowerment of the individual concretized as something you can actually hold in your hands. This is why liberals not only fear firearms, but regard them as profane. They are using their control of public schools to ensure future generations hold guns in the same regard:
An English teacher at Denton High School in the Dallas-Fort Worth area allegedly refused to grade two student reports because they discussed guns.
MyFoxDFW.com reports …

Sex Week at University of Chicago
13 Feb 2013
2:01 pm
Dave Blount
Obama’s ham-fisted nationalization of the student loan industry indicates that the federal government will take an ever larger role in financing the preposterously bloated expense of college. This should prevent institutions of higher learning from having to cut back on essential scholarship like Sex Week:
The prestigious University of Chicago is in the midst of hosting a comprehensive sex week that includes controversial events such as a course on sex education for kids, a play entitled “Genitalia the Musical,” and “Anal 101.”
According to the event’s official webpage, “Sex Ed for Kids” …

Anti-Gun Educrats Gone Wild
6 Feb 2013
1:57 pm
Dave Blount
An essential item on liberals’ agenda is to condition the next generation to regard firearms in the hands of private citizens with hysterical horror. Consequently, the insanity (e.g., see here and here and here and here and here and here and here) continues.
In Florence, Arizona:
Daniel McClaine Jr., a freshman at Poston Butte High School, said he saved the picture as his desktop background on his school-issued computer.
A teacher noticed it and turned him in.
The picture shows an AK-47 on top of a flag.
McClaine said the school initially suspended him for …

School With Imaginary Common Sense Suspends Seven Year Old For Imaginary Hand Grenades
6 Feb 2013

John Hawkins
The geniuses who run our public schools have now moved on from suspending children for pointing chicken fingers at each other and saying “bang” to sending kids home for possessing IMAGINARY hand grenades.
In Loveland Colorado, about 45 minutes North of Denver, a 7-year-old 2nd grader has been suspended for trying to save the world. It appears that the boy lobbed “an imaginary grenade into a box with what he called pretend evil forces inside.”
According to the child, he pretended to blow up the box “so nothing can get out …

Noam Chomsky: Obama is Like an Old ‘Moderate Republican’
5 Feb 2013
5:18 pm
Warner Todd Huston
On January 30, professor Noam Chomsky, famed linguistic scholar and long-time anti-American activist, said on Current TV that if President Obama were in office a few decades ago he would have “basically” been considered a “moderate Republican.”
Chomsky made his comments on Cenk Uygur’s Current TV show The Young Turks.
The MIT professor’s main point was that the Democrats have moved rightward toward “moderate” positions while the GOP has moved even further to right to the point of being extremists. This move, Chomsky said, has essentially eliminated “moderate Republicans.”
“The Republican Party has …

Keynote Speaker for Association of Teacher Educators: Bill Ayers
25 Jan 2013
2:09 pm
Dave Blount
Another reminder that the most radical excesses of the acid-crazed flower child era are now effectively mainstream:
Left-wing ’60s radical and onetime domestic terrorist Bill Ayers will be a keynote speaker at the Association of Teacher Educators annual conference in Atlanta next month.
Ayers gained notoriety alongside his wife Bernardine Dohrn as a member of the Weather Underground during the Vietnam War. He was involved in Chicago’s “Days of Rage” riot in 1969 and went underground as a fugitive from justice after an accidental Greenwich Village townhouse explosion in 1970 killed three …

Danny Glover’s Revisionist History: 2nd Amendment Was for Protecting Slavery
21 Jan 2013
2:49 pm
Warner Todd Huston
Actor and hardcore progressive Danny Glover should add revisionist historian to his growing resume of left-wing activism after a recent visit to Texas A&M University where he told students that the Second Amendment was mainly meant to keep African Americans in slavery and to kill Native American peoples.
During his January 17 appearance at the university, Glover thought to teach the students attending about the real purpose of the Second Amendment.
I don’t know if people know the genesis of the right to bear arms. The Second Amendment comes from the right …

In People’s Republik Of California, Teacher Who Appeared In Adult Videos Denied Her Job Back

Liberals are on the forefront of the “if it feels good, do it” attitude. Liberals have created an attitude where pornography is just an expression of sexuality, and should not be condemned, and that “there’s nothing wrong with it”. Yet, there are consequences for expressing that sexuality
(The Blaze) A middle-school science teacher fired after students learned she had appeared in pornographic movies had hoped not just to get her job back, but to set a precedent for people looking to escape an embarrassing personal history. News of the story first …

Rampage Shootings: It’s the Moral Decay of Society, not Guns
15 Dec 2012
4:48 pm
Rachel Alexander
It should come as no surprise that the rate of mass shootings at schools and in other public places is increasing. The surge has nothing to do with guns, which have been widely available in the U.S. for years. Gun control laws have been increasing. Instead, there is a direct correlation between the increase in violence and the gradual degradation of morals, ethics and parenting. We are cultivating mental illness in our society.
Parents are allowing television and video games toincreasingly babysit their children, even though both have become full of gratuitous violence. A New York …

Some Texas Schools Teaching Boston Tea Party Was Terrorism
28 Nov 2012
3:52 pm
Warner Todd Huston
It has been revealed that some Texas schools were teaching that the Boston Tea Party, an event widely understood as having helped spark the American Revolution, was actually a “terrorist” attack on British authorities.
At least up until January of 2012, Texas schools utilizing the history curriculum from CSCOPE, a non-profit and supposedly non-partisan education service, taught that the most famous tax protest in American history was akin to terrorism.
The tact taken to discuss the event was to engage kids as if the Boston Tea Party had just occurred and …

Blowing Up A Democratic Meme: The Most Educated States Voted For Obama
28 Nov 2012
7:58 am
John Hawkins
This chart, which supposedly shows that all smart people voted for Obama, has been popping up all over the place.
Of course, since we have exit poll data, we don’t have to look at states and take wild guesses about whom the people with college degrees voted for in 2012.
In actuality, Romney won Americans with college degrees 51%-49%, while Obama won those without college degrees 51%-49% and Americans with post-grad degrees 55%-45%. So, in other words, it’s a split. The most educated and least educated voters went for Obama while, contrary …

University Prof: Hey, That Thanksgiving is a Nazi Holiday
24 Nov 2012
2:00 pm
Warner Todd Huston
It’s become a tradition on every holiday that somewhere in the country a taxpayer supported university professor will come forth to trash one of our American traditions and this holiday season we were treated to a claim that Thanksgiving is really just a celebration of “genocide” created by “Nazis.”
A long-time, extreme left-winger named Robert Jensen, a taxpayer supported journalism professor at the University of Texas at Austin, felt Thanksgiving eve was the perfect time to unleash his latest anti-American screed on the radical website Alternet. Titled “No Thanks for Thanksgiving,” …

Tax Paid Prof Says Commie Stalin Never Committed Any Crimes
14 Nov 2012

Warner Todd Huston
Here is a heartwarming tale of your education tax dollars at work. At a recent school event at a New Jersey public university, a tax paid professor said that Joseph Stalin, the murderous head of the Soviet Union during the WWII era, never committed any crimes against humanity. “I have yet to find one crime that Stalin committed,” the professor yelled at students.
The comments were uttered by Grover Furr, a professor in Medieval English at Montclair State University, a public university in New Jersey. The event at which Furr appeared …

Student Speaks Out Against Harvard’s ‘Incest-Fest’ Party
15 Oct 2012
12:45 pm
Warner Todd Huston
It has been said that the students and faculty of Harvard University are America’s “best and brightest.” This month they prove this axiom to be mythological as they once again launch their annual “incest-fest” party where residents of the famed Kirkland House spend the day trying to have sex with as many house members as they can. Winners get a hearty handshake of acknowledgement and perhaps some STDS for their “success.”
Harvard’s denizens inventively call this debauched exercise the “incest-fest” because it is held in the Kirkland House among its residents. …

If you’re a Canadian, you should be happy. Our friendly neighbors to the north are riding high with their recent placement on the Economic Freedom chart at number five. Meanwhile, the United States dropped ten spots to number eighteen on the scale. Gateway Pundit posted about this story on September 19 citing The National Post which reported that:
The annual Economic Freedom of the World report, released Tuesday, has Canada tied in fifth place with Australia — up one spot from last year. Hong Kong remains at the top, Singapore’s next, then New …
