Enough With The Political Blame Game When Things Like The Giffords Shooting Happen!
  9 Jan 2011     9:14 am      William Teach

Looking all over the Internet, from blog sites to the major news media, they are all aflutter with speculation about whether the shooting of Giffords, which also resulted in the death of a 9 year old, a federal judge, and four others, was politically motivated. He’s being called a political terrorist, we hear that “words have consequences,” and “violence and politics merge.” The “rampage casts grim light on U.S. political discord” and “did shooting stem from the state of politics?” The there is “bloodshed puts new focus on vitriol in …

Great Oceanic Garbage Patch Not So Large As Thought
6 Jan 2011     10:53 am      Warner Todd Huston

Remember the floating patch of plastic garbage swirling in the Pacific Ocean between California and Japan that was claimed to be the “twice the size of Texas”? Well if Texas is the size of, well, Teaxs, it turns out that the plastic patch isn’t quite so large. Like most of the wild-eyed claims by enviro-Nazis it has been discovered that claims about the size of this environmental disaster are greatly exaggerated.
A new study of the swirling plastic garbage patch by Oregon State University professor of oceanography Angelicque White has …

Thousands of Dead Blackbirds and Fish in AR, KY,and LA Raise Questions About Gov’t Testing
  4 Jan 2011     3:26 am      Jane Jamison

There is plenty of “chatter” in the “conspiracy world” about why 5,000 dead blackbirds fell from the sky on a one mile section of the town of Beebe, Arkansas on New Year’s Eve and why, just a few miles away, hundreds of thousands of dead fish washed up on the shores of the Arkansas River.

‘Snowfalls Are Now Just a Thing of the Past’
  19 Dec 2010     6:18 pm      Ed Driscoll

That was a headline that ran in England’s Independent newspaper in 2000; this year, snow has been so heavy in England that it’s closed their major airports for long stretches. In early 2010, Time magazine, responding to resurgent snow in America’s capital would take the exact opposite stance: “DC Snowstorm: How Global Warming Makes Blizzards Worse.”

Is there nothing that global warming can’t do

No Cancer in Hinkley, California: Activist Hollywood Wrong AGAIN!
15 Dec 2010     11:00 am      Warner Todd Huston

Proving once again that Hollywood always gravitates to the wrong causes, Tim Cavanaugh of Reason.com reported on Dec. 14 that the California town made famous by Erin Brokovich — an activism that Hollywood embraced with a major motion picture starring Julia Roberts — has proven not to have lived up to all the anti-corporate fearmongering that brought the town to the country’s attention.
For those of you that are hazy on the story, local activist Erin Brokovich successfully took Pacific Gas and Electric to court forcing it to pay a record …

Sarah Palin Makes Liberals Act Like Weirdos
  9 Dec 2010     6:24 pm      Susannah Fleetwood

For some odd reason, Sarah Palin causes liberal elites to rabidly foam at the mouth. Professor William Jacobson of the blog Legal Insurrection wrote an insightful piece about how conservatives seem to reflexively defend Palin, because liberals seem to be perpetually attacking her. Furthermore, not only do liberals seem to revel in finding weird reasons to attack Sarah Palin, but they also seem to only be happy when they are attacking her family as well (probably because they see them as little …

Latest Liberal Midterm Loss Conspiracy: It’s Joe Lieberman’s Fault
  11 Nov 2010     6:59 pm      William Teach

You just can’t make this stuff up, folks. Well, really, it can be made up, just not by you, because you are not raving paranoids living in a unicorn infested world of hopey changey unreality, like Ezra Klein does
Since the election, there’s been a lot of talk about what President Obama and the Democratic leadership could’ve done differently. I offered six ideas here. But there’s been rather less discussion of what individual legislators could’ve done differently. Consider, for example, Joe Lieberman.
Ezra then travels down alternative universe …

Reid’s former Press Secretary Situation Screams Another Threat To Our Nation
  28 Oct 2010     9:59 am      Heather Bachman

Political offices have their own personalities, usually reflecting either the leadership or the party involved.  However, there is an unspoken rule and understanding that whatever you do or have done can and will affect your political boss.  In turn, the political leader has a consistent requirement to know pretty much everything about you and the people you commiserate with.  Factors of the relationship such as a romantic involvement, professional partnership or more importantly, marriage give the information a higher ranking.  Recently, information regarding Nevada legislator and party leader’s supposed lack …

Fish Wrap Offers Pre-Halloween Story About Scary Secretive GOP Donors
  20 Oct 2010     9:18 am      William Teach

Be frightened, very frightened, those evil men in the background are meeting. Mwahahahahahahahhahahahahaha!
A secretive network of Republican donors is heading to the Palm Springs area for a long weekend in January, but it will not be to relax after a hard-fought election — it will be to plan for the next one.
Obviously, not so secret if the Times knows about it.
Koch Industries, the longtime underwriter of libertarian causes from the Cato Institute in Washington to the ballot initiative that would suspend California’s landmark …

Ignorance of Dems Now Going Too Far
  16 Oct 2010     3:11 pm      Heather Bachman

Ignorance. It is a factor of the liberal leadership and has been pretty much accepted by aspects of society such as the media.  However, Massachusetts Representative Tierney has given another definition to the word as he consistently states he did not know anything regarding his own wife’s involvement in her brother’s illegal business.
Recently, Tierney’s wife plead guilty to crimes which connect her to a million dollar illegal offshore gambling business created and moderated by her now fugitive brother.  59-year old Patrice will be facing a January sentencing which is …

Media: Character only Matters if you are a Republican
  16 Oct 2010     12:48 pm      Heather Bachman

“He jumped out of his chair and grabbed her about the neck as he slammed her into the refrigerator. He then grabbed her about both arms, shaking her as they both went over to the kitchen counter, which Mrs. Wilson struck with enough force to take the breath out of her. She then fell to the floor, hitting the bottom door to the sink. As she laid there stunned, she couldn’t move her head or pick up her arm.”
Sounds like a horror novel doesn’t it? Sadly the event is …

3 Reasons Why BlogCon is Made of Awesome
  16 Sep 2010     12:36 am      Susannah Fleetwood

[The above photo is of me and Vodkapundit--aka, Stephen Green.]
This past weekend, FreedomWorks put on a national blogger conference in Washington D.C. called BlogCon, that was open to all bloggers who wanted to attend. Tabitha Hale, the brains behind BlogCon who put the whole thing together, really outdid herself. (All attendees should participate in a quiet “golf clap” for Tabitha.)
Folks, I had a blast this past weekend. Seriously, if any of you ever get the opportunity to attend a national blogging conference like BlogCon, I highly suggest …

Sunday Stupid: 9/11 Debris Field Mosque And NY Times Columists
  22 Aug 2010     9:38 am      William Teach

Happy Sunday! I had every intention this morning to write about a different topic. Perhaps about illegal immigration or climate creationism. Or, about a lost blind, deaf, 3 legged dog being found. Or, how about France surrendering to driftwood? Alas, I made the mistake of typing nytimes.com in my browser bar, then clicking the “Opinion” hyperlink. I really should have known better. Because first is the Idiot known as Frank Rich: How Fox Betrayed Petraeus. After a recitation of Left Wing talking points, we get
Here’s what’s been lost in all …

Guess What Gets Blamed For The Pakistan Flooding By Islamic Nations?
  19 Aug 2010     9:30 am      William Teach

I know, you immediately thought “Bush!” Nope, sorry, it is our old, tired, brokedown and in a nursing home friend, globull warming
The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) has blamed the flooding in Pakistan on “global warming,” even though scientists are generally wary of linking any single or series of weather events on climate change.
Uh huh. Those same Climate Creationist scientists who will use weather events themselves when it is convenient.
The bloc of 56 Islamic states held an emergency meeting in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, and …

Rosie O’Donnell Says Her Marriage was a Political Protest, Gays Treated Like Holocaust in America
8 Aug 2010     11:34 am      Warner Todd Huston

In yet one more example among thousands, we see why loud-mouth, extreme left-wing talker Rosie O’Donnell is wholly unworthy of a national forum. In a recent segment of her satellite radio show Rosie Radio, O’Donnell idiotically claimed that gays were being “rounded up” in America so that a “pink triangle” could be slapped on them just like they were during the Holocaust. But just as obscenely, O’Donnell admitted that her marriage to Kelly Carpenter was only a political statement, one of “civil disobedience,” instead of a marriage of love proving …

Media Matters Dishonestly Spins Anti-Fox Message Over Sherrod Firing
28 Jul 2010     11:37 am      Warner Todd Huston

You really have to hand it to Media Matters for America. I mean, they deserve an Olympic Gold Medal for the gymnastics that they evince while spinning the news to the extreme left-wing of the political spectrum. This whole Fox-didn’t-push-Sherrod story is a perfect example.
Eric “Boomarwrong” Boehlert is shamelessly spinning the story of the firing of USDA employee, Shirley Sherrod, as a Fox attack job with all his little Maoist heart. He is desperate to make Sherrod’s firing a result of a Fox News smear campaign and his reply to …

Where’s the aftermath report?: Housing Scandal Falling by Wayside While others See Continuous Daylight
  30 Jun 2010     8:23 am      Heather Bachman

Let’s face it: we are nation that loves scandal. With TMZ growing by the second and “trash magazines” such as the National Enquirer seeing no downfall from the supposed death of the print publication, it’s eminent that we love to gasp at the woes of society.
The only problem with this is it hasn’t evolved.  Controversy’s attention should result because it’s a good story ,but also because it involves something regarding our current events.   For instance, with the economy still not completely repaired it is financial situations such as …

In The Future, Everyone Will Be A Klansman For 15 Minutes
  3 Apr 2010     5:33 pm      Ed Driscoll

In 2008, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) was smeared as a Klansman by his opponent. That didn’t stop Cohen for dusting off the smear this past week — along with namedropping Kristallnacht — against the Tea Partiers.
