Bring On The Anarchists
25 Apr 2013
3:12 pm
Robert Cleveland
Harry Reid has opened his big mouth yet again, and as you would imagine, the results are rather absurd.
So according to Reid, the Tea Party is just a bunch of anarchists who don’t have the guts to admit that we’re anarchists?
Reid’s comments are so wrong on so many levels…though I suspect that is exactly why he chose to say them. Equating the Tea Party to anarchists is Harry Reid’s way of saying “these people are completely unreasonable and should not be listened to.” It’s the basic equivalent of calling someone …

A fractured party is a losing party
19 Apr 2013
12:49 pm
Josh Bernstein
Why is it that when Democrats govern like Socialist dictators they win, but when Republicans govern like Democrats they lose? The sad part is that both parties govern in such a similar capacity that it is hard to tell them apart these days. Both parties have an insatiable appetite for spending; and fiscal discipline in Washington is as rare as a snowstorm in Phoenix.
Neither party has shown the ability to govern the American people the way our Constitution originally intended. One could argue that we technically have not had a …

Rep. Duncan Likens Gun Registration To Rwanda Massacre
12 Apr 2013
7:27 am
William Teach
And the liberals freaked and went overboard, as the so-called Smartest People In The Country, the self-described super education, are incapable of understanding the words allegory, simile, and metaphor
(The Hill) Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.) warned in a Facebook post on Thursday that a national gun registry would be similar to a database used by the ruling Hutu tribe in Rwanda in the 1990s to locate and slaughter members of an opposing tribe in a genocide that killed up to 1 million people.
“The 2nd Amendment is (or should be) equal to …

Barack Obama: The Best Lying Demagogue Ever to Infest the White House
7 Apr 2013
5:17 pm
Warner Todd Huston
As he disgustingly used law enforcement officials as a back drop in Colorado, President Obama uttered a few lines about his un-Constitutional gun grabbing policy ideas that truly proves he’s the best lying demagogue to ever sit in the Oval Office.
Obama had a message about elected officials, who they are, and what they want to do about Obama’s anti-Second Amendment crusade. But his phrasing of the subject is particularly interesting. He turned the truth on its head, made anyone that stands for the Second Amendment into a nut case, …

Rush: Republicans Lost Marriage Debate Once We Modified The Language
29 Mar 2013
8:22 am
William Teach
An interesting theory, based on a note a friend sent to him
(Rush) The language game, the left really excels at changing the language to benefit them politically, and they do it in such a way that a lot of people on our side have no idea what’s happened until it’s too late and the issue is already lost, which this issue is. This issue is lost. I don’t care what the Supreme Court does, this is now inevitable — and it’s inevitable because we lost the language on …

Video: Phyllis Schlafly On the GOP Establishment, Karl Rove, Mitt Romney and Other ‘Losers’
28 Mar 2013
12:45 am
Warner Todd Huston
This year at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), I was fortunate enough to get some time to interview one of the most redoubtable conservative activists in the nation, Phyllis Schlafly. In this eighteen minute video you will encounter a woman that is extremely vital and at 89-years-of-age still sharp as a tack.
As is her wont, Schlafly eschewed kid gloves with her frank discussion of the GOP establishment and how those effete, east coast, country clubbers are at war with the conservative, Midwestern grassroots.
Take Schlafly’s description of “the establishment,” for …

Sarah Palin Rocks An NBA Game In A Chick-Fil-A T-Shirt
25 Mar 2013

John Hawkins
At CPAC, I couldn’t help but notice that Sarah Palin was in phenomenal shape. She looked like she had spent the last six months doing nothing but jogging and Pilates.
Well apparently, Sarah Palin does do something other than exercise in her spare time, because she took in a Phoenix Suns vs Minnesota Timberwolves game.
Via The Blaze.
Palin watched the Phoenix Suns take on the Minnesota Timberwolves but instead of sporting the Suns’ purple and orange, she opted for a red T-shirt with the fast food chain’s logo.
….Palin first showed her support …

Pamela Geller on the Left’s ‘Stealth Jihad’ on Our Free Speech
22 Mar 2013
4:00 pm
Warner Todd Huston
Famed anti-jihad activist Pamela Geller made a splash with her appearance at the special Breitbart breakout panel, “The Uninvited,” at this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
In true Breitbart fashion, Breitbart News–itself a sponsor of the 2013 CPAC–held its own panel and stocked it with some of those voices that were systematically prevented from officially speaking at the conservative event. Seeking to engage with voices beyond those approved by both the Old Media and the GOP establishment, Breitbart News sponsored “The Uninvited,” a panel featuring topics, experts, and personalities that …

Bostic Hopes For A ‘Ted Cruz’ Moment Against Sanford
22 Mar 2013

Matt Vespa
In the the race to fill the vacant seat left by former Congressman – now Senator – Tim Scott (R- South Carolina), we have disgraced former Gov. Mark Sanford (R-South Carolina) and Curtis Bostic. Sanford failed to received 50% of the vote, which means there’s going to be a runoff election on April 2.
Robert Behre of the Post and Courier wrote yesterday that:
Bostic said Sanford stole tax money, abandoned his post, lied to the people of South Carolina and broke ethics laws.
“I think it’s entirely appropriate that we forgive Governor Sanford for those failures,” he …

Time for Old Soldier McCain to Fade Away
8 Mar 2013
6:22 pm
Michael Fell
Senator John McCain (R, AZ) continues his criticism of fellow Republicans for filibustering confirmation of CIA Director John O. Brennan over the White House’s drone policy.
While interviewing with the Huffington Post, McCain used the term “wackos” to describe Senator Rand Paul (R, KY), Senator Ted Cruz (R, TX) and Representative Justin Amash (R, MI).
“They were elected, nobody believes that there was a corrupt election, anything else…But I also think that when, you know, it’s always the wacko birds on right and left that get the media megaphone,” said McCain.
When pressed …

These GOP Senators Went to Dinner with Obama Instead of Supporting Rand Paul
7 Mar 2013
6:14 pm
Warner Todd Huston
Rand Paul excited conservatives, libertarians, and even some liberals with his filibuster performance on the floor of the Senate on Wednesday. It was some 13 hours of a discussion on Obama’s desire to use drones to kill Americans here at home. Unfortunately, there were seven Republicans Senators that decided it was a better idea to eat dinner with the odious Obama instead of assisting Rand Paul. Worse, two Republicans actually denounced Paul’s efforts. All these Senators need to be gotten rid of.
Rand Paul used the debate about the nomination …

Jeb Bush Won’t Rule Out Presidential Bid, Releases New Book on Immigration
4 Mar 2013
6:17 pm
Bettina Inclan
Jeb Bush, the outspoken former Florida Governor, isn’t ready to confirm any 2016 bid; instead he is more focused on doing what he is best known for, being an ideas man who gets results.
“I have a voice, I want to share my beliefs about how the conservative movement and the Republican Party can regain its footing, because we’ve lost our way,” Bush told Today Show host Matt Lauer on Monday.
Bush said he wouldn’t rule out presidential run, “but I won’t declare today either,” he said to Lauer.
One area Bush is …

Apologize for what?
2 Mar 2013

Josh Bernstein
“Apologize for what?”
These three words have inspired and motivated millions of patriotic Americans. They have become a calling card to Conservatives everywhere who are sick and tired of out of control liberalism destroying this great country. On the anniversary of Andrew Breitbart’s death I’m sure he is looking down on us from that special reserved spot in heaven where the heroes lay and is smiling. In the post Andrew Breitbart Conservative era, his legacy lives on and his influence continues to grow.
From Twitter to Facebook and everything in-between, Andrew is …

S.E. Cupp’s Unhelpful Apostasy
20 Feb 2013
2:20 pm
Warner Todd Huston
Youthful commentator S.E. Cupp of the lamentable MSNBC recently made some trouble for herself by an ill-considered slam on Rush Limbaugh. Then, she made it worse with a subsequent doubling down on her unhelpful and unnecessary attack.
For those unaware, S.E. Cupp is a young, conservative commentator that has been close to Glenn Beck–close as in his employee–and last year began a stint as the token conservative on an MSNBC show called The Cycle.
To catch you up on the controversy, Cupp was quoted in The New York Times saying that we …

Profiles in Countermoonbattery: Dr. Benjamin Carson
7 Feb 2013
2:01 pm
Dave Blount
Even as they lick the loafers of their bureaucratic masters, leftists often posture as if they were somehow “speaking truth to power.” This is speaking truth to power:
One of the more unique speeches delivered at this morning’s National Prayer Breakfast came from Dr. Benjamin S. Carson, a world-renowned pediatric neurosurgeon at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Carson took to the podium prior to Obama and spent 25 minutes blowing holes in his moonbat ideology.
Carson shared an intense disdain for political correctness. … [H]e said that Americans should stop being afraid to speak up …

Pharisees and Sadducees of the GOP
22 Jan 2013
10:30 am
Rachel Alexander
Every Republican knows another Republican who agrees with them on 99% of the issues, yet will attack them relentlessly over the 1% of issues they disagree upon. Instead of uniting against the left, these busybodies waste countless hours criticizing other Republicans. They will frequently do it under the ruse of being the “true conservatives,” claiming that anyone who does not agree with them is not conservative enough. Yet the 1% of issues they disagree with others on are often arbitrarily decided and not legitimate issues. Mitt Romney was criticized for …

Jonah Golberg Vs. R.S. McCain On The Conservative Movement
18 Jan 2013

John Hawkins
My buddy Robert Stacy McCain over at The Other McCain took issue with National Review and one of my favorite columnists, Jonah Goldberg. Even though I didn’t agree with everything Stacy had to say, I thought he made some intriguing points, like….
The problem is not merely that National Review was aboard the Romney bandwagon early, nor that Romney was subsequently defeated, but rather that no one at National Review seems ashamed of themselves for their roles in helping to bring about this disaster. If they are leaders of the …

Looking Forward To A Shutdown
15 Jan 2013

Robert Cleveland
President Obama’s press conference yesterday showed America just exactly what he meant when he said he would not negotiate on raising the debt ceiling. He will not negotiate. He will take no prisoners. He will accept nothing less than complete and total surrender to his agenda.
Once again, the President of the United States seeks to blind the American people to reality, giving them instead a convenient collection of sound bites that place all blame this crisis he created at the feet of Republicans in Congress.
President Obama came out with a …

There is Nothing to Compromise on Guns
10 Jan 2013
4:20 pm
Alex Nobles
The second amendment is quite clear. The government does not should not have the ability to restrict gun ownership. I don’t even understand why there is an argument. The founding fathers made it quite clear on why they incorporated the second amendment into the constitution. You can read my article here if you don’t quite get it. It had nothing to do with self defense. That is just a bonus.
If you actually want to restrict gun ownership you need to amend the document itself. Have fun getting super majority. It …

New Hampshire Legislator: We Need to ‘Restrict Freedoms’ of Conservatives
4 Jan 2013
4:19 pm
Warner Todd Huston
A New Hampshire legislator wants her constituents to know that she feels conservatives are the “single biggest threat” her state faces today and she wants to use her powers to legislate to “pass measures that will restrict” the freedoms of Granite State conservatives.
In a blog post made last month on the left-wing site Blue Hampshire, 3rd District State Representative, Democrat Cynthia Chase advised her fellow legislators to use their positions to make New Hampshire less welcoming to any conservative or libertarian planning on moving to her state not to mention …
