Reid’s former Press Secretary Situation Screams Another Threat To Our Nation
  28 Oct 2010     9:59 am      Heather Bachman

Political offices have their own personalities, usually reflecting either the leadership or the party involved.  However, there is an unspoken rule and understanding that whatever you do or have done can and will affect your political boss.  In turn, the political leader has a consistent requirement to know pretty much everything about you and the people you commiserate with.  Factors of the relationship such as a romantic involvement, professional partnership or more importantly, marriage give the information a higher ranking.  Recently, information regarding Nevada legislator and party leader’s supposed lack …

Ignorance of Dems Now Going Too Far
  16 Oct 2010     3:11 pm      Heather Bachman

Ignorance. It is a factor of the liberal leadership and has been pretty much accepted by aspects of society such as the media.  However, Massachusetts Representative Tierney has given another definition to the word as he consistently states he did not know anything regarding his own wife’s involvement in her brother’s illegal business.
Recently, Tierney’s wife plead guilty to crimes which connect her to a million dollar illegal offshore gambling business created and moderated by her now fugitive brother.  59-year old Patrice will be facing a January sentencing which is …

Right Nation 2010: Video of Glenn Beck and Rep. Aaron Schock
19 Sep 2010     6:35 pm      Warner Todd Huston

I am working on some video form the Right Nation 2010 event. So far I have a few minutes of Glenn Beck and Illinois Representative Aaron Schock already finished.
I’ll start with the beginning of Glenn Beck’s more than hour long address to the gathered. His talk was well received, chock full of humor and patriotism, and left the crowd highly energized once he was done.
I have captured his first few minutes of his part of the program (as they didn’t allow us to record the whole thing).

Next up is Illinois …

Right Nation 2010 – Anita MonCrief, John Fund, Dick Armey Speak
18 Sep 2010     3:29 pm      Warner Todd Huston

I am here today at the Right Nation 2010 conference in the western suburbs of Chicago (straight west of O’Hare Airport). This afternoon began with three speakers remarks, ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief, Wall Street Journal writer John Fund, and former Majority Leader Dick Armey.
Anita was up first and she told us of her early days as a left-wing activist in ACORN, but she realized as she got higher in the organization the lies being told and the corruption going on was a slap in the face of the principles she …

16 Sep 2010     1:20 pm      Warner Todd Huston

THE event of the Midwest is fast upon us, Sept. 18, this Saturday!
So what the heck IS this Right Nation 2010 thing, anyway? The website tells us that the event will be a gathering of thousands of conservatives who will, “come together to celebrate their shared lineage and common purpose. They’ll be joined by popular political, media, and entertainment personalities all assembled to advance the RIGHT principles and the RIGHT people in order to reclaim the Midwest and forever change its political landscape.”
Right Nation will offer great speeches by famous …

Pictured from the left: Robert Bluey [Heritage Foundation], Guy Benson [Chicago Radio Host], Ed Morrissey [HotAir.com], and Warner Todd Huston [PubliusForum.com]

I just flew in from Las Vegas where I attended Americans For Prosperity’s RightOnLine 2010 conference. As always, it was an uplifting experience, educational, and a whole lot of fun. I caught up with old friends, met with business partners, and made new friends.
For those unaware of what this whole RightOnLine thing is, think of it as an activist’s training program. If you attend you’ll find sessions and panels that …

Terrorist Supporting Islamist Group Coming Back to Chicago
18 Jun 2010     11:08 am      Warner Todd Huston

While Mayor Richard “King” Daley goes about his important work of destroying Chicagoan’s 2nd Amendment Rights, a terror supporting Islamist organization is again coming to the Windy City to spread its message of jihad and raise money for the cause.
Hizb ut-Tahrir America, a group committed to a world-wide caliphate by which to oppress the world and destroy freedom and liberty, is bringing its newest outrage to Chicago for the second year in a row. The terror supporting group’s second conference, titled “Emerging World Order: How the Khilafah Will Shape the …

Sam Adams, Andrew Breitbart, and Me: The Third Annual Sammies Awards, a Report
17 Apr 2010     7:43 pm      Warner Todd Huston

The Sam Adams Alliance, a free-market think tank that specializes in encouraging new media, held its third annual Sammies awards in beautiful downtown Chicago last Friday, April 16. This year the event hosted a visit by the Wall Street Journal’s John Fund and featured a keynote address by media maven Andrew Breitbart. And somewhere in the back of the room was little old me, your humble correspondent, there to report on the events of the night.
The Sammies are given to outstanding bloggers, community activists and purveyors of traditional American freedoms …

Exclusive: Herman Cain, Dark Horse?
  12 Apr 2010     1:15 pm      Melissa Clouthier

Herman Cain knows how to give a great speech. He was also a delightful man to interview. Mr. Cain sat with Tabitha Hale and me for a few minutes. We had a great conversation on Saturday afternoon of the Southern Republican Leadership Conference. He discusses God’s will for his life. He also talks about Republicans attracting people of color. He answers the question about whether racists dominate the Tea Party movement:

What Was Wrong At The Southern Republican Leadership Conference?
  12 Apr 2010     11:54 am      Melissa Clouthier

What a weird conference. There. I said it. The Tea Party received the biggest cheers. The Republicans bashed their own party. Attendees were optimistic and cheerful. Politicians were purposeful and focused on 2010–a marked shift from the usual perspectives at SRLC which has been a conference that gives voters a first look at potential Presidential candidates. Ron Paul’s groupies were suitably worshipful and idealistic. Mitt Romney’s posse were mission-focused as always. But something was off.
It wasn’t the city or weather. New Orleans was more beautiful than I have ever seen …

Rick Perry Gives A Barn Burner At Southern Republican Leader
  9 Apr 2010     4:53 pm      Melissa Clouthier

It sure seems like Rick Perry is running for President, or better yet, Vice President. He gave an enthusiastic speech that roused the crowd in a major way.
Part of the reason I came to the Southern Republican Leadership Council is to see Sarah Palin alongside other candidates and good political speakers. She introduced Perry at a rally in Houston that I covered and attended. So that was a different venue where her role was to elevate Perry. Today, they spoke as peers.
So, Perry gave a great speech that rivaled or …

3rd Annual AFP Defending the Amer. Dream Summit, Wisconsin – Final Report
14 Mar 2010     2:53 pm      Warner Todd Huston

Well, I am back home from attending the AFP Defending the American Dream Summit. The speakers were inspiring and the panel on which I sat during one of the break out sessions was really fun.
A word about what this whole thing was is apropos here. It was attended by some 4,000 folks, all regular every day folks, most from Wisconsin. Not all were necessarily AFP members as it was open to the public. A lot of different tea party groups also had representatives in attendance. There were some few vendors …

3rd Annual AFP Defending the Amer. Dream Summit, Wisconsin – Opening Festivities
13 Mar 2010     12:10 am      Warner Todd Huston

I am here in Beautiful Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin for the AFP Defending the American Dream Summit… or I assume it’ll be beautiful once the drab days of Winter are over, anyway. I haven’t been to the Dells since about 1973, so things have changed a tad since I was last here.
Tonight, after registration closed for the evening, we had a nice little cocktail party, I mingled a little and heard from a few of the respected speakers from whom we’ll hear more tomorrow.
Grover Norquist from Americans for Tax Reform …

The Mount Vernon Statement, A Poor Man’s Manifesto… VERY Poor
22 Feb 2010     11:00 am      Warner Todd Huston

A group made up of some of the biggest names in contemporary conservatism got together a few days ago and crafted what they are calling the “Mount Vernon Statement,” a manifesto of sorts meant to give direction to today’s conservative movement. Put succinctly, it fails to fill the bill.
Taken as a whole this statement is fine as a short history lesson. It explains pretty clearly what the founders had wrought when their basic work was done with the adoption of the U.S. Constitution. But as a statement of principles that …

Obama Getting Desperate On Health Legislation, Convening Summit
  8 Feb 2010     8:00 am      William Teach

In a sign that smacks of incredible desperation regarding his signature, and outsourced, legislation – and also shows that he still does not comprehend that the economy and jobs are the top issues facing this country – Obama made a big announcement during his little interview with Katie Couric, a time period in which most football fans probably switched the channel to the Puppy Bowl rather than listen to this drivel
President Obama said Sunday that he would convene a half-day bipartisan health care session at the White House to be …

Wrap-Up: Governor Rick Perry’s Blogger Summit In Austin, Texas
  25 Jan 2010     11:51 am      Melissa Clouthier

Texas Governor Rick Perry hosted a blogger meet-up in Austin, Texas this last weekend.
Friday night, twenty of us met up at the gun range with the Governor. He showed fellow bloggers Kathleen McKinley and Robbie Cooper and me how to shoot his laser-guided, tiny Ruger LCP .380. It was a nice, light little gun, but the loooooong trigger was irritating. Roger Simon has a humorous piece about his gun trepidation that’s worth reading.

Robbie also shared his .45 with me and I got to shoot a clip from his gun. …

Bad news

It seems like a good, rousing choice. He has risen in prominence this year and has connected with activists everywhere. The left will go nuts, but anyone to the Right of Joe Lieberman, heck Joe Lieberman himself, would get a crazed response.

Guardian Moonbat: Dopenhagen Farce Was Turning Point for Human Race
  21 Dec 2009     12:03 pm      Dave Blount

It must be nice living in your own community-based reality. Even when your fellow moonbats fall on their foolish faces, you can pretend they succeeded beyond anyone’s wildest imaginations — like Colin Blakemore, who triumphantly squeaks:
Copenhagen may mark a turning point in human nature, when the global village acquired a global mind.
A global village with a global mind. The liberal vision has been revealed in all its sci-fi dystopia nightmarishness. More moonbat daydreams from Fakemore:
What we have just witnessed is delegates from 192 countries talking about making sacrifices, slowing their …

Copenhagen Deal to Loot $100 Billion
  18 Dec 2009     10:25 am      Dave Blount

A last minute deal has reportedly been reached at the snowbound Copenhagen spectacle that will transfer $100 billion of OUR MONEY to odious Third-World dictators like Robert Mugabe on behalf of the flourishing polar bears.
Leaders and ministers from about 30 countries hammered out an outline climate accord early on Friday morning, hours before some 130 world leaders were to gather in a summit. …
On financing for the poor countries most vulnerable to the [IMAGINARY] ravages of climate change, it crystallised a consensus that has formed in the previous two days …

AGW Today: Inhofe, Alarmist Media, And 40 Members Of Congress
  18 Dec 2009     8:58 am      William Teach

Things are getting fun in Copenhagen, and I’m not talking about being about to playing in the rare heavy snow that has fallen
The leading global warming skeptic in the U.S. Senate shocked reporters in Copenhagen with a dose of American reality with his prediction Thursday morning that the U.S. Senate will not pass a carbon ‘cap and trade’ bill, regardless of the commitment President Obama is expected to make here tomorrow.
“I am here to make sure the 190 countries here don’t go home with the false …
