Mitt Romney Slams Obama’s Foreign Policy: A ‘Monumental Bust’
15 Jun 2014     1:54 pm      Warner Todd Huston

As it turns out, much of what Mitt Romney said during that late Presidential election about the disaster that is Obama’s foreign policy has turned out to be 100% right. Now he is jumping into the fray once again to remind everyone that he warned us all.

If you’ll remember, during the 2012 debates, Romney really hit Obama on his failed foreign policy.
Now Romney is reminding us all how right he was about how wrong Obama is. As Cathy Burke writes:

Romney’s rousing 15-minute speech was the only one open to …

Via Qatar, Obama Administration Has Been Equipping Taliban With Stinger Missiles
  10 Jun 2014     1:44 pm      Dave Blount

Obama hasn’t just been releasing their top commanders. Inadvertently or otherwise, he has been equipping the Taliban with Stinger missiles. Author Kenneth Timmerman reports:
Miliary records and sources reveal that on July 25, 2012, Taliban fighters in Kunar province successfully targeted a US Army CH-47 helicopter with a new generation Stinger missile. …
Lodged in the right nacelle, [investigators] found one fragment that contained an entire serial number.
The investigation took time. Arms were twisted, noses put out of joint. But when the results came back, they were stunning: The Stinger tracked back …

NY Times: Bergdahl Desertion Really Fault Of Unit Discipline, Afghanistan War
  8 Jun 2014     8:02 am      William Teach

I’m surprised NY Times writers, Richard A. Oppel Jr. and Eric Schmitt, didn’t just straight out Blame Bush
Bergdahl Was in Unit Known for Its Troubles
The platoon was, an American military official would assert years later, “raggedy.”
On their tiny, remote base, in a restive sector of eastern Afghanistan at an increasingly violent time of the war, they were known to wear bandannas and cutoff T-shirts. Their crude observation post was inadequately secured, a military review later found. Their first platoon leader, and then their first platoon sergeant, were replaced relatively early …

Obama Official Implies Bowe Bergdahl Might Have Been Right to Desert
  5 Jun 2014     1:43 pm      Dave Blount

No wonder the ideologically insane Obama Regime apparently expected the public to be pleased that it had traded five terrorist commanders for a deserter and probable traitor. The people composing Obama’s bubble don’t see anything wrong with Bowe Bergdahl’s execution-worthy behavior. Check out some of the tweets from Brandon Friedman, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs for the Department of Housing and Urban Development:

Here's the thing about Bergdahl and the Jump-to-Conclusions mats: What if his platoon was long on psychopaths and short on leadership? (1/5)

Three Laws Obama Violated by Releasing Top Taliban Terrorists, in Escalating Importance
  3 Jun 2014     3:11 pm      Dave Blount

When Obama traded five top terrorists selected by the Taliban for a deserter who might have defected, he arrogantly ignored a law requiring Congress to be given 30-day notice. But that isn’t the only law he violated. It is against the law to provide material assistance to a terrorist organization. Andrew Napolitano makes an excellent case for prosecution:

Megan Kelly’s assertion that Obama didn’t violate the law because he didn’t know that releasing their most prized personnel would assist terrorists takes Fair & Balanced attempts to give the other side even …

War Is Peace, Citizens Are The Enemy
  1 Jun 2014     10:59 am      Terresa Monroe-Hamilton

By: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton

And the Constitutional violations just keep on comin’… Barack Obama isn’t just doubling down on shredding our founding document, he’s doing a boogie on it with a treasonous twist. Not just at home, but abroad — from the IRS scandal to Benghazi — his hubris and disdain for America is breathtaking.
Bill Gertz reported this week on a memo outlining Obama’s plan to use the military against citizens – a memo from 2010. Remember how the blogs and many of us out here were ringing the alarm bells on …

Brits Give Million Dollar Pay Off to Terrorist Who Planned Attacks on USA
19 May 2014     1:56 pm      Warner Todd Huston

A terrorist in England received a big, million dollar pay off from the British government when he sued the state for having a hand in his rendition and imprisonment in America’s Guantanamo Bay terrorist detention facility. But now it has come to light that this guy did, indeed, help plan attacks on the USA and was a jihadi despite his claims to the contrary.

According to The Daily Mail:

Taxpayers paid £1million to a suspected terrorist accused of going to al-Qaeda training camps and planning attacks on American and Jewish targets.
Feroz Abbasi …

Say, What Did Afghans Use During Their Historic Vote?
  9 Apr 2014     7:01 am      William Teach

Good question, if I don’t say so myself
(IBD) About 7 million Afghans turned out to vote in Saturday’s presidential election, many proudly brandishing a photo ID that our Department of Justice claims is a symbol of racism and voter intimidation.
In perhaps the most ironic tweet of all time, former Obama adviser David Axelrod noted concerning Saturday’s presidential election in Afghanistan: “Afghans defied threat of death to vote. Here’s hoping that Americans vote in large (numbers) this fall, despite efforts to make voting harder.”
Axelrod may not have noticed, but millions of …

Karzai To Release 72 Taliban Prisoners With American Blood On Their Hands
  10 Jan 2014     9:01 pm      Duane Lester

With friends like these, who needs enemies:

Afghanistan has enough evidence to try only 16 of 88 prisoners that the United States considers a threat to security and plans to free the remaining detainees, the president’s spokesman said on Thursday.
The move will further strain relations between the two countries that are already near breaking point over President Hamid Karzai’s refusal to sign a security deal to shape the U.S. military presence after most foreign troops leave this year.
Without a deal, Washington could pull most of its troops out after 2014.
The United …

Obama Fails: Al Qaeda Controls More Territory Than Ever
10 Jan 2014     10:54 am      Warner Todd Huston

Despite his oft times indiscriminate death from-the-skies drone program, Obama seems to have failed to put a stop to our worst enemy, al Qaeda. It seems that the infamous terror group now controls more territory than ever.

Obama has pretended that his occasional drone strike and the fact that he was in the White House when our military killed Osama bin Laden means that we’ve essentially won the war on terror and destroyed al Qaeda. But this seems to be a total lie. Al Qaeda is alive and well.
The National Review …

The World’s Ten Worst Places to Be a Christian
9 Jan 2014     7:16 pm      Warner Todd Huston

The 2014 World Watch List of the 50 worst places in the world to be a Christian has been released showing all the usual suspect nations where Christians face daily persecution.
Since the American invasion of Iraq and later as the so-called Arab Spring has grown, persecution of Christians has exploded across the world–most especially in the middle east and Africa.
The watchdog group Open Doors USA has released its list of the worst places to be a Christian and topping the list are North Korea, Somalia, Syria and regrettably, Iraq and …

Karzai To Let Dozens of Taliban Prisoners Who Murdered Americans Walk Free
  2 Jan 2014     8:32 pm      Duane Lester

Afghanistan’s president Hamid Karzai is going to release dozens of Taliban from prison.  Isn’t it time to leave:
Just months after American officials ceded control over all detention operations in Afghanistan, President Hamid Karzai’s government has quietly planned dozens of prisoner releases that American and Afghan officials said on Tuesday would include committed insurgents who had attacked Americans.
The pending wave of releases has revived one of the most caustic — and seemingly resolved — issues between the allies just as relations have hit a new low over Mr. Karzai’s refusal to …

Obama Buys Russian Helicopters for Muslim Military With American Money
  11 Dec 2013     12:56 pm      Dave Blount

They used to say that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. But we didn’t know the true meaning of insanity until recently. Now the definition is tolerating a president who would preside over shenanigans like this:
To outfit Afghanistan’s security forces with new helicopters, the Pentagon bypassed U.S. companies and turned instead to Moscow for dozens of Russian Mi-17 rotorcraft at a cost of more than $1 billion.
Senior Pentagon officials assured skeptical members of Congress that the Defense Department had …

Spike in Deaths in Afghanistan Linked to Obama Rules of Engagement
  10 Dec 2013     9:45 pm      Duane Lester

Fact: 73 percent of all deaths in Afghanistan have occurred on Obama’s watch.
In total, 2,144 U.S. military personnel have given their lives fighting in and around Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.
1,575 of the U.S. military personnel who have sacrificed their lives in this cause were killed during the presidency of Barack Obama.
That means 73 percent of the casualties in the Afghan War have happened on Barack Obama’s watch.
Under President George W. Bush, from 2001 until Jan. 20, 2009, 569 U.S. military personnel were killed in and around Afghanistan …

Demented Rules of Engagement Kill US Troops
  9 Dec 2013     1:50 pm      Dave Blount

Elections have consequences. A predictable consequence of making an adolescent leftist the Commander in Chief has been dead Americans on the battlefield, due to insane rules of engagement that put inane liberal posturing ahead of military interests and the safety of our troops.
The number of U.S. battlefield fatalities exceeded the rate at which troop strength surged in 2009 and 2010, prompting national security analysts to assert that coinciding stricter rules of engagement led to more deaths.
The politically motivated rules, which might have been written by the Taliban, restrain US troops …

A hapless journey’s end
  30 Apr 2013     3:00 pm      Josh Bernstein

What happened in Boston last week was truly a tragedy. Two Muslim brothers detonated two bombs at the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Unless you have been living in a cave or under a rock somewhere you already know what happened. The sad fact is the Obama Administration, The FBI, and the entire Intelligence Community failed to protect the American people. Three people died and over 175 were injured by two brothers practicing their religion of peace.
Throughout history people of all different faiths have killed each other in the …

The Greatest Threat To Peace
  7 Feb 2013     2:55 pm      Robert Cleveland

It’s nice to know that the Obama Administration is doing absolutely nothing that might upset the Islamic radicals running the Islamofascist Republic of Iran.
Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced the other day that it’s time for the world to get used to dealing with a nuclear Iran.  And of course, he added, they were not planning on using nuclear weapons against Israel.
If you remember, back during the presidential election, Vice President Biden assured us that we have nothing to worry about from Iran.  So what if they’re pursuing nuclear weapons?  According …

Why Hello G.I. Jane
  29 Jan 2013     10:45 am      Matt Vespa

As Bridget Johnson tattled this morning, polls show support for women in combat.  There has been a lot of discussion regarding Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta lifting the ban on women in combat positions.  As Fox News posted on January 24:
The change would open hundreds of thousands of front-line positions and potentially elite commando jobs to women. Panetta and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey both approved the change Thursday, and the White House separately said it endorsed the decision.  The groundbreaking move recommended by the Joint Chiefs of Staff overturns a …

Afghanistan Blocks YouTube Over Anti-Mohammed Video
  12 Sep 2012     4:33 pm      William Teach

On one hand, you have to wonder if this is what we’ve fought in Afghanistan all these years to see: blocking freedom of speech. On the other hand, can you blame the government of Afghanistan? They must know that theirs is the only religion that will riot, burn, destroy, and kill over a simple video
(Telegraph) The Afghan government on Wednesday banned YouTube from the country for the first time to prevent people from watching an anti-Islam film, The Innocence of Muslims, which sparked a riot in Libya that killed the …

Where is the Missing Media Outrage Over President Obama?
  27 Aug 2012     11:17 am      Donlyn Turnbull

I was reminded today, during the Bush presidency, there was a daily tracking of both the deaths of US troops serving in the war and rising gas prices.  The media was outraged over it.  The people were as well.
Where is the outrage now?
Two U.S. troops were killed in eastern Afghanistan today by hostile small arms fire.  Their names have not yet been released.  Have you heard of this?
Five days ago, Sergeant Louis R. Torres, only 23 years old, was killed in Kandahar by an IED attack.  Have you heard of …
