The 25 Best Tweets Of 2013
16 Dec 2013 7:21 am John Hawkins
The problem with picking the “best” tweets for a year is that there are hundreds of thousands of tweets being spewed out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. Meanwhile, most of us follow only an infinitesimal slice of the people on Twitter and have to do things like work and sleep that interfere with being online all day. In other words, picking the best tweets from across Twitter is a little like picking the wettest spots in the ocean.
Still, someone had to take …
Twitter Covers for Obama, Cancels Account of People Who Lost Their Health Insurance
6 Nov 2013 5:24 pm Warner Todd Huston
Social media giant Twitter has come under fire for canceling the account of a group hosting photos of people holding cancellation letters they received from their insurance company for accounts that were canceled because of Obamacare.
Twitter is now obviously working for President Obama to fool America into thinking that he didn’t lie when he said we could all keep our insurance if we liked it. Apparently, Twitter has chosen sides.
Thus far, 3.5 million Americans and counting have lost their healthcare thanks to Obama’s take over of our national healthcare …
Barack Obama, liberal policies fan the flames of racism against White America
26 Aug 2013 6:12 am Josh Bernstein
Barack Obama was elected the 44th President of the United States on a promise of hope and change. Hope for a better America, hope for a more prosperous America, and hope for a more united America. Along with his historic election came an even more historic opportunity. The ability to help heal race relations once and for all in this country.
But that opportunity was never taken advantage of. Instead of trying to unite Americans of every color, every creed, and of every socio-economic status, this President has chosen instead to …
The REAL reason our Southern Border will never be secure
21 Jun 2013 3:36 pm Josh Bernstein
The Senate on Tuesday by a vote of 54-39 rejected an amendment to the latest version of the Senate’s new immigration bill. The amendment offered by Senator John Thune of South Dakota should have been a no brainer to pass. The Thune Amendment simply called for the completion and funding of a 700 mile stretch of double tiered fencing along our Southern Border.
What was so surprising about the failure of this amendment was some of the reasoning for its failure. Most of the Senators that voted against it were Democrats; …
LET’S ALL SUE THE I.R.S.!
3 Jun 2013 6:56 pm Josh Bernstein
Unless you have been living under a rock or in a cave somewhere you have heard all about the I.R.S. scandals. The Internal Revenue Service, or should it be renamed the Internal Rectal Service has been intentionally performing financial colonoscopies on Conservatives from all walks of life for the past few years.
The so called “neutral” and “nonpartisan” I.R.S. has been poking, prodding, and picking on Conservatives and Conservative leaning groups and organizations by stonewalling, delaying, and outright denying their applications for funding and tax exempt statuses.
They have targeted Tea Party …

Should Congressional Staffers Have Their Private Twitter Accounts Published?
6 Apr 2013 8:53 pm Warner Todd Huston
A Congressional watchdog group called LegiStorm has announced a sweeping new project aimed at government transparency. But part of that project has staffers on Capitol Hill crying foul because it lists all their private Twitter accounts.
On April 3, LegiStorm announced its new StormFeed tool saying it is a, “real-time, full-text searchable access to every official press release and official tweet from Capitol Hill plus the tweets of thousands of congressional staffers.”
But many staffers began to complain when they began finding their own private info on the thing. Worse, many found …
OBAMA’S DHS: DRONES, HOLLOW POINTS, AND SECRECY
2 Apr 2013 2:48 pm Josh Bernstein
What has our Department of Homeland Security metamorphosed into? Our third largest government agency has been stockpiling weapons and ammunition at a very alarming rate. Since early 2012, DHS and its 200,000 employees have purchased so much ammunition that many of the top weapon and bullet manufacturers have had trouble keeping up with the increased demand.
So why is our government buying hundreds of thousands of tactical weapons and millions upon millions of bullets? Do they think that the Russians are going to invade us? Do they think the North Koreans …

5 Rules To Keep You From Hating Twitter Like Matt Lewis
31 Jan 2013 9:34 am John Hawkins
Matt Lewis has a knack for starting conversations about topics that other people may be thinking about, but aren’t discussing. Judging by the behind the scenes chatter I’ve seen, he’s done that again with his latest column, “Why I Hate Twitter.”
Soren Dayton and Rob Bluey — two conservative tech geniuses — talked me into joining Twitter during a lunch Ed Morrissey organized at an Iraqi restaurant in Minneapolis during the 2008 Republican convention. Life hasn’t been the same since.
