George Will: Medicaid is Next Obamacare Crisis


The medium to long-term plan for the Democrats is to transition from Obamacare to single payer. This “bug” that George Will is discussing is the key “feature” they intend to use to make that happen.

As the White House touted improvements to the troubled HealthCare.gov website Sunday morning, conservative pundit George Will said the real test might be in six months when employers begin to weigh their options for 2015.

“Watch the employers, because if they start dumping people into … Medicaid — and the doctors then say, the burdens are too high and the reimbursement is too low; we’re not seeing Medicaid patients — then all hell is going to break loose,” Will said on “Fox News Sunday.”

Democrats talk about Medicaid sign-ups like they’re a plus, but they’re actually a huge minus. Every person who signs up for Medicaid is someone that other Americans have to spend their money to cover. Moreover, because the government doesn’t want to spend what it costs to cover Medicaid patients, there already aren’t enough doctors to go around. That problem is only going to get worse and we’re going to eventually end up with the government trying to enslave doctors in order to force them to see patients at a loss. There won’t be any chains around their ankles, but it’ll be slavery all the same because the government will take their freedom to force them to serve the needs of the government.

That’s the world Barack Obama will create unless we can stop him by repealing the law.
