During the campaign, when there were first claims that Barack Obama wasn’t born in the US of A, I treated the idea seriously. I even aimed a little criticism at the mainstream media for refusing to thoroughly investigate the story. However, I also took the time to look into it myself and found that the evidence Barack Obama was born in Hawaii was overwhelming. I’ve hammered that point home again and again and again.

Well, guess what? I was spot on.
Like him or hate him, Donald Trump’s incessant talk about this issue created so much pressure that Obama must have decided it was counter-productive to keep this whole thing going any longer. So, in an effort to quash it, he’s released the one thing people have been asking for all along: His long form birth certificate.
And what do you know, it says he was born in Hawaii, just like every other significant piece of evidence indicated.
Now, I know how this works. Even after seeing the long form birth certificate they’ve been demanding for so long, a lot of Birthers STILL won’t buy it. After all, the professional conservative con men like Jerome Corsi, Joseph Farah, and Alex Jones have to try to save their reputation after being wrong yet again and the crazy people are still crazy.
Of course, the vast majority of Birthers don’t fall into either category. They’re just decent people who didn’t examine this issue all that closely and thought it was possible Obama wasn’t born in Hawaii, as much as anything else, because he lies about everything else. Unfortunately, because these people have been mocked and insulted for buying into this, some of them are not going to want to admit Obama was born in Hawaii. All I can say to those people is that you’ve been presented with new evidence — a long form birth certificate. There’s nothing wrong with changing your mind after new evidence shows your old conclusion wasn’t valid. That’s what wise people do, right?
