AP Claims Official House Benghazi Hearings Just ‘GOP Hearing’

The Associated Press on Wednesday mischaracterized the Benghazi hearings as merely a Republican event even though it is an official House investigation.
In the headline of its report, the Associated Press downplayed the official hearings of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee–that has both Democrats and Republicans on it–into the failures surrounding the 2012 attacks on our embassy personnel in Benghazi, Libya. The AP characterized the official hearings as “GOP hearings” making the proceedings seem like a mere political witch-hunt.

Hook up site AshleyMadison.com is again courting controversy after debuting a new billboard campaign south of Columbia, South Carolina, that uses a photo of ex Governor Mark Sanford to sell its tryst-arranging services.
The ad appears on Interstate 26, 25 miles below South Carolina’s state capital, Columbia, and takes up two, stacked billboards. The top billboard reads “Next time use…” next to a photo of Gov. Sanford. The one below reads “AshleyMadison.com to find your ‘running mate.’” The lower billboard also features the website’s slogan, “Life is short. Have an affair.”

Soft Drink Mountain Dew Pulls Ad Over Charges of Racism

PepsiCo, Inc, owners of Mountain Dew soda, has pulled an online video ad after viewers complained of its use of racial stereotypes. The ad also seemed to be making light of violence toward women.
The video ad begins by showing a police lineup of various thug-like African Americans–among them a goat–and transitions to the other side of the glass as a retinue of white cops urge a bloodied, bandaged women to identify her attacker. “Nail this little sucker. Newspaper Union Declares Koch Brothers Unfit to Own Newspapers

On the heels of reports that “half” the staffers at the L.A. Times would resign if the paper was sold to conservative billionaires the Koch brothers, the Newspaper Guild–Communications Workers of America, a journalist labor union, have issued a statement declaring the pair unfit to own a newspaper.

Citizen journalists in China have succeeded in getting a wasteful government official fired by reporting on a lavish party he threw paid for by government funds.

BBC Sends Reporters to North Korea Using Fake Student Credentials

One of the newest conservative news sites in Britain, The Commentator, has learned that the British Broadcasting Service (BBC) may have endangered a group of British students during a trip into North Korea by slipping several reporters into the group using student visas as cover for their activities.

In shades of the Nuremberg Trials, an April 12 article from the Associated Press seems to excuse away the actions of the assistants of accused criminal abortionist Kermit Gosnell as “only following orders.”
For the AP, Maryclaire Dale begins her piece with that very sentiment saying, “They say they were just doing what the boss trained them to do.”
