New Romney ad uses Democrats to hit Obama on welfare issue [VIDEO]
8 Aug 2012 5:44 am
It’s no secret that I think Barack Obama has been a colossal failure as a president.
Forty-one straight months of unemployment over eight percent is nothing to cheer about, but Obama seems to think that moving more people out of the job market and into entitlement programs is a positive development.
How else to explain his decision a few weeks ago to cut out the heart of the 1996 welfare reforms that were passed by Bill Clinton and a Republican Congress?
The Romney campaign is seizing the opportunity, using harsh language from members of …
Turning Massachusetts Red
30 Jun 2012 8:11 pm
As many of you know, I left Florida to come to Massachusetts for this election, to help Sean Bielat’s Congressional race. I miss my family and friends in the Sunshine State, but this has been an incredible experience so far. One of the more interesting aspects for me has been observing the activities of the Massachusetts Republicans, and some very promising developments in conservative grassroots activism around the southeastern part of the state.
The MassGOP, who I’ve characterized as “merry pranksters” for stunts like this, are very skilled at making a big impact with limited resources. In …
The Supreme Court just wrote Romney’s campaign ads
28 Jun 2012 1:07 pm
In case you’ve been hiding under a rock this morning, the Supreme Court issued its opinion on ObamaCare today, with Justices Alito, Scalia, Thomas, and even swing-vote Kennedy voting to overturn the law as unconstitutional, but Chief Justice Roberts joined the liberal wing of the court in voting to uphold it.
The Court ruled that even though it was an unconstitutional violation of the Commerce Clause to force Americans to buy health insurance, the individual mandate survived as a…tax.
It’s not a tax? Really? Huh. That’s not how Obama sold this law to the …
Too funny: MassGOP buys Elizabeth Warren an Ancestry.com membership for her birthday
22 Jun 2012 3:50 pm
Oh, this is too funny. The merry pranksters at the MassGOP sent out a press release this morning, saying that as a gift for Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren‘s 63rd birthday, they had bought her an Ancestry.com membership:
MassGOP’s Gift To Elizabeth Warren On Her 63rd Birthday: A Complimentary Ancestry.com Account
Boston – Nearly two months after Elizabeth Warren’s false claims to Native American heritage first surfaced, the Massachusetts Republican Party is today offering the Harvard Professor a complimentary account to Ancestry.com to commemorate her 63rd birthday.
“Since Professor Warren has failed to …
Florida voting purge dropping more Republicans than Democrats
20 Jun 2012 1:02 am
Despite all the teeth-gnashing and rending of garments from the Left (and filing of nonsense lawsuits by the DOJ), it turns out that Florida’s effort to purge illegal immigrants from the voting rolls is actually targeting Republican white guys.
As the Orlando Sentinel reported yesterday:
Of the first 107 names reported purged by the state’s 67 county election supervisors through late last week, a Political Pulse analysis was able to identify 94 from voter registration rolls. Of those, 33 were Republicans and 32 were Democrats. Another 25 were officially “no party affiliation” …
Tribute to Andrew Breitbart at #BlogConCLT
20 Apr 2012 3:26 pm
I’m at BlogCon in Charlotte, North Carolina, and we just had a special screening of the new Stephen Bannon film, Occupy Unmasked, which features a lot of footage of Andrew Breitbart.
After the film, Jim Jamitis (@anthropocon on Twitter) presented Dana Loesch, Brandon Darby, Larry O’Connor, and John Nolte with a painting he created as a tribute to Andrew for the Breitbart offices.
What a perfect way to honor the man…with his own words:
My favorite is a quote at the top left: “I want my legacy to be that they know that they screwed with …
Some interesting history about the inspiration behind Florida’s lawsuit against ObamaCare
29 Mar 2012 5:45 pm
This week, the United States Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case of Florida vs. United States Department of Health and Human Services (for an excellent recap, please see this write-up by the Texas Public Policy Foundation), the lawsuit filed by the State of Florida against the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, aka “ObamaCare.”
Florida’s previous Attorney General, Bill McCollum, filed the complaint on March 23, 2010. The litigation was joined by attorneys general in numerous other states, and some states filed separate lawsuits, but Florida’s case has been the linchpin in moving …

Reason #7,519,078 why I love Paul Ryan: he gets it, I mean really gets it, regarding the financial crisis that our country is facing.
