A&E Sponsor: If The Robertson Clan Leaves A&E, We’re Gone Too!
  21 Dec 2013     1:27 pm

The Robertson family has made it known that they will not continue the show without their patriarch. And some of A&E’s sponsors have also said the same thing.
The CEO of Skyjacker Suspension Systems, Lonnie McCurry Sr., said that they’re sticking with these “faith-based, solid people” wherever they go.

The Federal Government’s Five Years of Failure
  20 Dec 2013     11:18 am

By: Rachel Burger
On December 18, Gallup released a poll that shows a record number of Americans—72%—believe that the greatest threat to the United States is big government. That’s a pretty large leap since March 2009, when only 55% of Americans thought that was the case. What’s even more astonishing is that, across party lines, more people view government as a threat than big business or big labor. Democrats agree that big government is the biggest threat to this country twenty points higher than big business and fifty points higher than …

Michigan Teachers Union Fights For Child Molester
  15 Dec 2013     6:11 pm

A teachers union is fighting for a disgraced Michigan teacher’s severance package after it was discovered he had a sexual relationship with an underage boy.
The disgraced teacher, Neal Erickson, had been a math and computer-education teacher at Rose City Middle School before he was convicted of having sex with the victim on multiple occasions. The sexual encounters began when the unidentified student was an eighth-grade student.
The boy’s father, John Janczewski, called the Michigan Education Association’s efforts to collect $10,000 for the convicted pedophile “ludicrous,” according to EAGnews.org. Janczewski notes that any money …

Washington State Exchange Is Arbitrarily Debiting Enrollees’ Personal Accounts
  15 Dec 2013     5:36 pm

Does the president’s new health care law have another glitch, or is it just good ole’ fashioned incompetence?  In the Washington State Exchange, you’re able to pick when you want your payment to go through.

Sadly, for some enrollees, those payments were posted early – and it has put some families’ Christmas shopping on hold.  It’s tragic and completely arbitrary.  Then again, we’re talking about the dynamics of a government program.
Gateway Pundit cited KGW.com report on this development yesterday:
For the second week in a row, the Washington Healthplanfinder website is down, and it’s …

Juan Williams Is A Libertarian, Or Something
  15 Dec 2013     4:21 pm

On the December 14 broadcast of Fox News’ Chasing In with Eric Bolling, contributor Juan Williams had a very important announcement: he’s a libertarian.

It should come as no surprise that almost everyone found this uproarious.  Host Eric Bolling also had his mind blown and responded to Juan saying, “no, no I can’t let you get away with that,” especially since Mr. Williams has been defending the president’s health care law.
Ha. My reaction to @TheJuanWilliams today when he tried to say he was a libertarian (photo via @Morgan_Cody_1) pic.twitter.com/eBfobfO0cX

Whoopsie Daisy! Thousands Of Obamacare Sign-Ups Failed To Reach Insurers
  14 Dec 2013     4:35 pm

So, the new health care website was somewhat relaunched and is now a success, right? Nope. Apparently, thousands of sign-ups through Healthcare.gov never made it to insurers.
Sarah Kliff at the Washington Post wrote today that:
Enrollment records for close to 15,000 HealthCare.gov shoppers were not initially transmitted to the insurance plans they selected, according to a preliminary federal estimate to be released Saturday.
[...]
The preliminary estimate that fewer than 15,000 enrollments failed to reach carriers comes from a recently completed federal analysis that compared the number of shoppers who clicked “enroll” with the …

Denver Post Omits That Arapahoe High Shooter Was A Socialist
  14 Dec 2013     2:54 pm

Yesterday, there was a tragic school shooting in Colorado.  It’s a painful reminder to the residents who really haven’t recovered from James Holmes’ rampage in Aurora last year.  Additionally, it was on the eve of the one-year anniversary of Newtown.
The Denver Post’s Zahira Torres and Yesenia wrote:
The teenage gunman who entered Arapahoe High School on Friday afternoon and shot two fellow students with a shotgun was outspoken about politics, was a gifted debater and might have been bullied for his beliefs, according to students who knew him.

“He had very strong beliefs about gun …

Obama Blames Reagan For Lack Of Trust In Government, Or Something
  8 Dec 2013     4:48 pm

Keeping with the “Obama is oblivious about government” theme, here’s another nugget from his little chat with MSNBC’s Chris Matthews last week.  Concerning the lack of trust his administration now has with the American people, Obama had someone to blame for this development: Ronald Reagan.
We’ve had a politics, frankly, you know, the entire Republican Party brand since Ronald Reagan has been ‘government’s the problem.’ And if you, day after day, week after week, election after election, are running on that platform and that permeates our culture and it’s picked up by, …

Does Obama Understand The Basic Dynamics Of Government?
  8 Dec 2013     3:45 pm

You don’t need to be old – or have a wealth of experience – to understand that the federal government in the United States is huge.  That being said, one could easily deduce that because government is so big; it’s incredibly hard for it to act decisively.  Last week, the president “played Hardball with Chris Matthews” and gave another nauseating analysis on why Obamacare is a disaster. In short, he essentially said that big government is the problem.  You don’t say, Mr. President.

So, does this mean that Obama isn’t that …

It’s A Trap! Healthcare.Gov Wants Your ATM and Credit Card Pin Numbers
  8 Dec 2013     3:07 pm

Well, this should turn out well.  Apparently, the Obamacare website is asking for your credit card and ATM pin numbers.  It’s safe because the site completely secure.  Sorry, I was speaking as if this administration was competent.  The website is far from safe – and experts says that no security was ever built into the site.  Additionally, on top of  the credit card/ATM fiasco, the payments portion of the site isn’t even built yet.
Congressional lawmakers and staff are getting a hard lesson in the problems with the ObamaCare websites, as …

MSNBC Host: God Totally Loves Obamacare
  7 Dec 2013     9:47 pm

Last week, MSNBC’s Ed Schultz went way off the deep end with his declaration that God loves Obamacare.  During his Wednesday night broadcast, the liberal host was asked by a viewer if he would ask Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minnesota) what God says about the Affordable Care Act.

My first question would be about the uh possible ethics violation that she’s being investigated for… I’ll tell you what I think God thinks of the Affordable Care Act. It’s a big amen!
The ethics violation stems from contributions that she made to an Iowan …

One Poll That Shows How Cancerous Obamacare Has Become To Democrats
  7 Dec 2013     1:30 pm

One of the most irritating things that occurred after the shutdown was the notion that the Democrats got a huge boost before the 2014 midterms.  This ludicrous claim was reported by CNN, Mediaite, Huffington [re]Post, and the Washington Post to name a few.  What’s more ridiculous is that the PPP poll, which some news outlets cited, was conducted on behalf of Moveon.org!  Well, that’s not the case.  It was never the case.  Mitt Romney won more congressional districts – 227–  than Obama in 2012.  Additionally, there were few competitive races …

The Number Of Meetings Between Sebelius and Obama Since Obamacare Was Passed: One
  7 Dec 2013     12:10 pm

With the complete collapse of the Obamacare website, millions losing their insurance, and rising premiums, you would expect there to be a lot of one-on-one meetings between the president and the HHS Secretary.  Nope.  They’ve only had ONE meeting since Obama’s signature domestic achievement was passed in 2010.
A new Government Accountability Institute (GAI) analysis finds that from July 12, 2010, to Nov. 30, 2013, the president’s public schedule records zero one-on-one meetings between Obama and Sebelius. Equally shocking, over the same period, the president’s calendar lists 277 private meetings with his …

Feminists Attack Catholic Men Praying, Protecting Cathedral From Vandalism
  3 Dec 2013     9:15 pm

Total depravity erupted in San Juan, Argentina on November 24 at the annual state-sponsored National Women’s Encounter conference.
A group of Catholic men praying outside a cathedral – and protecting it from vandalism – were attacked by a horde of topless, pro-abort feminists.  It was absolute viciousness.  Besides verbal abuse, these women spit on them and spray painted their crotches because that will totally progress feminism as a movement, or something.

According to Sofia Vazquez-Mellado of Life Site News,
The women, many of them topless, spray-painted the men’s crotches and faces and swastikas on their …

I Was Honored To Be AFP Foundation’s Blogger Of The Year

On August 30, I was honored to be Americans for Prosperity Foundation’s 2013 recipient of the Andrew Breitbart Award for Excellence in Online Activism and Investigative Reporting at Right Online last week.  Below are the remarks I gave last night, with a few additions that were cut due to time.  Nevertheless, this award was possible due to the support of the many faces I see at these conferences every year.  You share a piece of this award.
A little over a year ago, I would never have imagined standing here accepting …

The Shaky Political Future Of Texas State. Sen. Wendy Davis
  3 Jul 2013     11:59 am

With Texas State Senator Wendy Davis’ filibuster of SB 5 last week, she’s become a liberal rockstar.  Her filibuster was halted and the bill was passed, but not before the 12am deadline, which killed the bill – for now.  The unruly masses of pro-aborts in the gallery caused such a disturbance that procedural motions were unable to be heard, thus preventing the bill from being passed successfully.  It was mob rule.  The bill would’ve banned abortions 20-weeks into a pregnancy. And Gov. Rick Perry has already called another special session to …

Pro-Life Texas Legislator Threatened With Rape
  3 Jul 2013     11:57 am

As SB 5, a bill that would ban abortions at 20-weeks, prepares to be passed in the Texas Senate, pro-abortion activists have threatened pro-life legislators, like State Senator Donna Campbell, with rape.  Sexual assault was also wished upon her family.  Alas, we have the tolerant left.  As Betsy Woodruff at National Review reported on July 2:

State senator Donna Campbell, who issued the third point of order against Davis’s filibuster (which ended it), has also been the target of extensive verbal abuse from pro-choice protesters, according to her spokesman Jon Oliver.
They’ve received …

FBI Hasn’t Called Any Of The IRS-Targeted Tea Party Groups
  3 Jul 2013     11:53 am

On May 14, the FBI claimed they launched an investigation into the IRS fiasco.  FBI Director Robert Mueller was famously told Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio on June 13 that he didn’t know the name of the lead investigator at the Bureau spearheading the effort.  That’s almost a month into the alleged investigation.  This is a national story.  It’s a major scandal – and you don’t know who the point guy, or gal, that’s tasked with getting to the bottom of this debacle?
Joe Schoffstall at CNS News reported on July 2 a disturbing development …

DSCC Attacks Republican For Wanting To Strengthen Iranian Sanctions
  28 May 2013     8:15 pm

What do you do when you have no heavyweight candidates in any key senate races for next year?  You go on a rather cantankerous rant against candidates who may, or may not, be running. In Arkansas, where Democrats are defending the highly vulnerable Sen. Mark Pryor, the DSCC has done just that, with a rather comical attack on Republican Congressman Tom Cotton over Iran.
On May 23, Peter Urban on the Times Record, a local news outlet, reported that:
At a House Foreign Affairs Committee meeting [last] Wednesday, Cotton sought to extend …
