Obama Campaign Takes Slogan From Old European Communists
30 Apr 2012
9:09 pm
Leave it to Team O to come up with a new campaign slogan – “Forward” – that’s had a long association with communism.
Many Communist and radical publications and entities throughout the 19th and 20th centuries had the name “Forward!” or its foreign cognates. Wikipedia has an entire section called “Forward (generic name of socialist publications).”
“The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist, communist and other left-wing newspapers and publications,” the online encyclopedia explains.
The slogan “Forward!” reflected the …
Gas is Over $4 per Gallon But Biden Says Energy Policy is the ‘Best’
4 Apr 2012
10:22 pm
Yesterday I paid $4.10 per gallon of regular unleaded, but hey, that’s okay. Just ask Vice President Joe Biden. He says the administration’s energy policy is the “best its ever been.” Seriously, he did.
REPORTER: Gas prices are above $4 a gallon. You were asked this question and you gave an answer, but there’s a new commercial out that says, “Since Obama has become president, prices have nearly doubled.” Four years in, should you all have a better energy policy in America?
VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN: I think our energy policy’s the best it’s …
Every Morning When He Wakes Up, Bill Ayers Wonders How He Can Destroy Capitalism
1 Apr 2012
5:16 pm
Via Hot Air, President Obama’s old pal Bill Ayers was at another leftist occupy gathering and talked about what motivates him to wake up every morning – destroying capitalism.
“I get up every morning thinking today I’m going to make a difference. Today I’m going to end capitalism. Today I’m going to make a revolution. I go to bed every night disappointed but…I’m back again tomorrow.”
We all know what these radicals want to replace capitalism with – communism. If the horrors of communism were taught in schools, perhaps more people would …
Please Help! Commie Mommy Winning Political Moms Contest
1 Apr 2012
4:15 pm
There’s a Top 25 Political Moms contest that you may think is silly, but it’s important that conservative moms dominate this contest. Here’s why: The top bloggers from the left in this contest aren’t your mom’s Democrats. They’re radical progressives. The one in the lead describes herself as “Leftist. Very, very leftist” and has made it her mission to see Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker defeated. I’m sure she has no problem with the vicious way her side has treated Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefish. The website running the contest says they have millions of followers. Do …

Wouldn’t it Make More Sense to Mine Our Own Minerals?
14 Mar 2012
5:25 pm
The United States teamed up with the European Union and Japan in a complaint to the World Trade Organization against China over its rare earth export (REE) policies. While it would be nice if China would stop hoarding their minerals, wouldn’t it make more sense to start doing more mining of our own resources? At The Enterprise Blog, Michael Mazza and Lara Crouch pointed out something that’s worthy of attention. [Emphasis added]
The truth is, the market is adjusting on its own to correct the distortions resulting from China’s export quotas. Derek Scissors makes this argument convincingly: …
Being a Union Shill is Quite Lucrative for Lib Talker Ed Schultz
9 Mar 2012
9:30 pm
Why, you didn’t believe liberal radio host Ed Schultz really gives a darn about union workers did you? Ha! He gets paid for his advocacy of unions – and quite handsomely, at that. NewsBusters has the scoop:
In fiscal 2011, Schultz received $190,000 from the Communications Workers of America for what the U.S. Department of Labor categorized as “representational activities.”
For swag like that, you’d think Schultz could at least get it right about the CWA name. Instead, he invariably refers to it as the “Communication” Workers of America when its president, Larry Cohen, is a …
Update on New York Redistricting and NY25
9 Mar 2012
8:10 pm
Since a federal judge proposed a map that’s sane, there hasn’t been much going on as far as the process of redistricting here in New York. But the plight of Congresswoman Ann Marie Buerkle is getting some national attention. The Daily Caller reported that Republicans in the New York Senate didn’t do Rep. Buerkle any favors when they drew up their own map, which wasn’t much better than what Assembly Democrats put out there.
The redistricting map submitted by the New York Republican state Senate would all but ensure that Buerkle doesn’t win reelection …
Had Enough Yet?
6 Mar 2012
12:15 am
In case you haven’t noticed, there’s been an ongoing and concerted effort by the left to silence prominent conservatives and remove them from the airwaves. The decision by seven advertisers to pull their ads from Rush Limbaugh’s show, despite his sincere apology, is just the latest example. It’s time to say “Enough!”
Enough with the progressives distorting the issues. Enough with the radical Marxists cloaked in business suits ginning up unrest. Enough with the Alinsky president who uses his personal twitter account to attack private citizens. Enough with a national debt that’s bankrupting our children, …
Proposed New York Redistricting Map Could Mean Bad News for Conservatives
29 Feb 2012
8:56 pm
Today it was leaked that proposed redistricting maps for New York could redraw the 25th congressional district, which is represented by Congresswoman Ann Marie Buerkle, to include the city of Ithaca. If true, this is terrible news for Republicans and conservatives – especially since the Club for Growth recently gave Buerkle a 92% fiscal conservative rating, which is the best ranking in the state, and among the highest in the House.
The Post Standard reported that the new district lines will need to be approved by a federal judge, and noted the party breakdown …
Obama’s NLRB Continues to Do Big Labor’s Bidding
27 Feb 2012
8:56 pm
The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is supposed to be an impartial arbiter of labor issues, but under President Barack Obama, the agency has become another arm of Big Labor. I warned you last month that a new rule requiring employers to hand over private employee information to unions was in the pipeline. Well, it looks like it’s official now. According to Fred Wszolek of the Workforce Fairness Institute, the rule requiring employers to supply unions with workers’ home addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses is now official.
This rule will …
Obama Admin Proposed Active Duty Military Health Care Cuts, No Cuts for Union Civilians
27 Feb 2012
7:07 pm
President Obama again reveals where his loyalties lie – with the unions. According to The Washington Free Beacon, the Obama administration is proposing cuts to health benefits for active duty and retired military members and their families, while leaving the benefits for unionized civilian defense workers alone. If anything, it should be the opposite – those who put their lives on the line day-in and day-out, and their families who sacrifice so the rest of us are safe, should be given the highest priority.
Some members of Congress believe the proposed changes …
