National Journal Calls for Obama to Fire Himself and His Team
2 Dec 2013 11:29 pm
The National Journal is a well known left of center magazine.
And they are calling for a complete overhaul:
President Obama needs to fire himself. Not literally, of course, but practically: He needs to shake up his team so thoroughly that the new blood imposes change on how he manages the federal bureaucracy and leads.
A series of self-inflicted wounds during his fifth year in office, capped by the botched launch of the Affordable Care Act, have Americans questioning the president’s competence and credibility. History suggests that second-term presidents rarely recover after their …
Liberal Theology: “When Jesus had those five loaves and two fishes, he didn’t charge food stamps.” (Video)
2 Dec 2013 9:02 pm
Liberals are all about the separation of church and state, until combining the two furthers the agenda, then they are all about it.
Case in point:
Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.) told the Rev. Al Sharpton of MSNBC on Wednesday that Sharpton and the pope are “on the same wavelength.”
McDermott’s observation on what he perceives as the similarity between Sharpton and the pope came up in a discussion of food stamps.
McDermott noted that when Jesus fed five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fish, “he didn’t charge food stamps.”
Yeah, that’s …
Obama Admin Organizes Young Followers Under Banner of “White House Youth,” Hitlarity Ensues
2 Dec 2013 7:43 pm
Apparently the White House Twitter admins don’t really know their history. Otherwise, they’d probably have avoided the idea of calling young followers of President Barack Obama “#WHYouth.”
At 8 pm ET: Join @kalpenn, @HealthCareTara and @YI_Care for a G+ Hangout on ACA & young people. Ask Qs w/ #WHYouth: https://t.co/rp05qcmfUG
— Erin Lindsay (@Erin44) December 2, 2013
Although the hashtag was used for several days prior to today, this tweet set of the firestorm:

Set Toilet Paper on Fire? That’s a First Degree First Degree Terroristic Threat!
28 Nov 2013 12:06 pm
So now, high school pranks earn you the label of “terrorist.”
Police say a 15-year-old freshman boy faces a second-degree criminally negligent burning charge, a misdemeanor, and a first-degree terroristic threatening charge, a felony, after he ignited a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom of West High School Wednesday morning.
Under Alaska law, a person causing the evacuation of a building can receive a terroristic threatening charge. And that is reportedly what happened after alarms sounded at West High at 10:57 a.m.
The key word is “can” receive a charge.
That doesn’t mean he has to …

Not Racist: Obama Says He Can Look at Person’s Face and Tell If They’re an Immigrant (Video)
27 Nov 2013 8:01 pm
President Obama says he can look a man in the face and tell if he’s an immigrant.
Good thing he’s not a Republican or that would be racist:
So how does that work? Do people born in America have different faces from those not born in America? Or could he be talking about their skin color? But that would mean that only some colors of people are native-born Americans!
Totally not racist.
I mean, it’s not like he was correcting spelling and grammar.
Heartbreaking: MSNBC and CNN Lose Almost Half Their Audience in One Year
27 Nov 2013 6:09 pm
CNN and MSNBC took a beating over the last year, both channels shedding close to half of their audience:
Data released Tuesday show CNN shedding 48 percent of total viewers since last November and MSNBC dropping 45 percent.
The numbers were even worse in the all important demographic of people aged 25 to 54 as CNN’s ratings dropped 59 percent and MSNBC’s 52 percent.
In an off-election year, and with last November’s numbers skewed higher as a result of the presidential election, it should be expected for ratings to decline.
However, Fox News didn’t …
Obamacare Event Gives Away Condoms As Prizes (Video)
27 Nov 2013 2:46 pm
A recent event at the University of Central Arkansas featured a pleasant young woman with “lots of Magnums.”
“So when you’re leaving, you can stop by my table and I’ll give you whatever — condoms — that box has a bunch in it. Anyway … Our corporation, LA Corp … And I’m waiting on my dental dams and female condom order that still hasn’t come in. If you ever need condoms, let me know because we have thousands — boxes of magnums, we get magnums a lot. So here is the prize …
Ads Thanking Ted Cruz to Air During Thanksgiving NFL Games
26 Nov 2013 6:54 pm
While you are fighting the strong desire to drift off after Thanksgiving dinner, listen closely.
That popping sound you hear will be liberal heads ASPLODING across Texas:
A conservative group will air ads in Texas during Thanksgiving thanking Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz for leading the fight against Obamacare. The ads will run during the NFL games and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade on a dozen stations across the football-crazed state.
The Conservative Campaign Committee made the $50,000 ad buy for the following commercial.
I wish these ads could be aired across America. The country …
Parents Ignore Doctor’s Advice to Abort Brain Damaged Baby, Delivers Perfectly Healthy Girl
26 Nov 2013 6:39 pm
Liane and Iain Stooke were told their baby Miley was brain damaged. They were advised to abort her.
The couple agonized over the decision and decided to give their little girl a chance at life — and their instinct paid off. Miley was born perfectly healthy — a shock to them after the doctors’ assurance she would have physical problems and that the imaging and diagnosis had been wrong.
Mrs Stooke added: ‘It was a waking nightmare. We agonised every minute over what to do – and every time I felt …
HealthCare.gov Programmed with a Queue – That’s Right, It’s a Website with a Line
26 Nov 2013 5:24 pm
I thought I’d seen exactly how bad the government was online when I went to IRS.gov and saw this:
Unreal. Only the federal government would create a website to apply online and make it Monday – Friday, 7 am-10pm. pic.twitter.com/etbtqZiD3h
— Duane Lester (@Bodhi1) November 16, 2013
But I underestimated the government’s ability to do online services poorly, because now they’re actually bragging about how you can wait in line at Healthcare.gov:
“The other important development that’s gotten a little bit less attention is they have also put in place a queuing system so …
Now, About Those Death Panels…
25 Nov 2013 11:14 pm
Turns out, they were written into the bill:
The Affordable Care Act contains provisions for “death panels,” which decide which critically-ill patients receive care and which won’t, according to Mark Halperin, senior political analyst for Time magazine.
“It’s built into the plan. It’s not like a guess or like a judgment. That’s going to be part of how costs are controlled,” Halperin told “The Steve Malzberg Show” on Newsmax TV.
Halperin’s right — this is all in the law. It’s right there. You can read it.
As you could have four years …
Hacker: Security Wasn’t Built Into Healthcare.gov (Video)
25 Nov 2013 9:05 pm
A website devoted to collecting some of the most sensitive information on Americans, and they didn’t even build security into it:
“When you develop a website, you develop it with security in mind. And it doesn’t appear to have happened this time,” said David Kennedy, a so-called “white hat” hacker who tests online security by breaching websites. He testified on Capitol Hill about the flaws of HealthCare.gov last week.
“It’s really hard to go back and fix the security around it because security wasn’t built into it,” said Kennedy, chief executive of …
Ben Stein: If Obamacare Were a Bank, Obama Would Be Charged With Criminal Fraud (Video)
25 Nov 2013 6:11 pm
Hat Tip to Gateway Pundit:
“The president lied to us about every aspect of this… I’m getting kind of sick of him saying he didn’t know what was in his own bill. He didn’t know what happened in Benghazi. He didn’t know what happened in the US. If he didn’t know what was in his own signature legislation, his own most important document, his own most important achievement, he should not be president…
If this government were a bank, a large investment bank, it would be charged with criminal fraud for the …
Planets Aligning for Jacob Turk in Bid for Missouri’s Fifth District
12 Mar 2012 4:32 pm
On December 12, 2011, Jacob Turk entered Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri, stood before a microphone and asked those who had gathered before him, “Has our economic outlook improved over the past year? Have we revived the job market? Has our national debt declined? Unfortunately, the answer to all three questions is No.”
Turk then announced he would be challenging Rep. Emanuel Cleaver’s hold on Missouri’s Fifth District for a fourth time.
You read that right. Jacob Turk has run for Congress three times before and lost, each time against Emanuel …
My Latest Project: Now Racist in the U.S.
6 Feb 2012 3:09 pm
I have lamented on my blog that someone should start a list of all the things that are now considered racist so someone can avoid unwittingly saying or doing something that would land them in hot water.
Well, no one did.
So I took it upon myself. Presenting, Now Racist in the U.S.
It’s a work in progress. I’ve added as many instances of ridiculously overt racism as I could find in my Google Reader, but many of the links have come from friends I shared the site with while I …
WaPo Wonders, “Will the LDS Church’s Past Racist Doctrine Hurt Romney?”
1 Feb 2012 12:12 pm
The Church of Latter Day Saint prohibited black people from being members of the priesthood until 1978 because it was believed they were the direct descendants of Cain and cursed. This prohibition was, according to this article from the Washington Post, a “direct commandment from the Lord.”
In 1978, the church had a revelation and the ban was lifted.
Mitt was a member of the church before and after the “revelation” and the Washington Post wants to know, “Is this going to be a problem for Mitt down the road?”
Gee, you …
Change Has Come to America, Now Let’s Change It Back (Video)
20 Jan 2012 2:47 pm
I have been working on this video for a while. It was inspired by a graph I saw at Doug Ross’s site. After looking at it, I thought it would make a good video.
This is the result. Let me know what you think in the comments:

Wall Street Protester Struggles to Explain, Well, Anything (Video)
12 Oct 2011 9:49 pm
I had every intention of going down to the Occupy Kansas City hippie village and conducting interviews, but the water pump on the Green Monster, aka my 1998 Forest Green Chevrolet Malibu, had different plans and began throwing coolant like Linda Blair throws pea soup.
But that’s neither here nor there, and really far to graphic.
In my mind, I imagined every interview down there going exactly like this one:
Let me sum this up for you:
Wall Street Protester: I think this.
British Dude: Here. Have some facts.
Wall Street Protester: *Recoils like a …
Poll: What issue is most important to you?
22 Sep 2011 5:07 pm
In 2008, Human Events polled their readers to find out what issues were most important to them. I have been waiting and waiting for more polls like this from them, but have been left wanting.
So, I decided to conduct the poll myself.
I asked around and looked at some various websites and pulled together 27 different issues that you could possibly care about most, including Human Events’ Top Ten from 2008.
Please choose the one you think is most important right now. In the slim chance your most important issue isn’t on …
