Coates: Voter Intimidation Ignored in the Department of Justice If Victim Is White
  24 Sep 2010     10:35 pm

On June 30th, I wrote the following about the first claim of racism at the Department of Justice. Megyn Kelly had just interviewed J. Christian Adams and the word was out about the lack of concern when white folks were victims of voter intimidation.
“There is a pervasive hostility within the civil rights division at the Justice Department toward these sorts of cases,” Adams told Fox News’ Megyn Kelly.
Adams says the dismissal is a symptom of the Obama administration’s reverse racism and that the Justice Department …

For Jacob Turk, Hopefully Third Time is the Charm in Missouri’s 5th
  17 Sep 2010     9:55 am

Albert L. Reeves, Jr. was the last Republican Congressman in Missouri’s 5th District.
He left office in 1949. For over 60 years, Democrats have had a stranglehold on the seat. It’s now held by the far left, Castro praising, Emmanuel Cleaver.
Jacob Turk hopes to change that in November.
Turk is a Marine currently not on active duty who has lived in Missouri’s 5th for 28 years. In that time, he’s spent 12 years running his own business and raised three children as a single dad.
His experiences have helped foster a …

Why We March – 9/12 March on Washington (Video)
  16 Sep 2010     5:01 pm

As I did at the Kansas City Tea Party, I had my Flip at the 9/12 March on Washington and asked the marchers why they were there. Combined with select portions of some of the speeches, I was able to make this video.
I hope you enjoy it:

Two Great Videos from the 9/12 March on Washington: Tito “The Builder” Munoz and Jon David Kahn
  13 Sep 2010     11:34 am

Thanks to FreedomWorks’s respect for bloggers, I was allowed to get as close to the stage at the 9/12 March on Washington as I wanted, which was about three feet away.  Because of that, I was able to get two great videos.
The first one is of Tito “The Builder” Munoz.
Here’s what I wrote on my blog:
If you weren’t there, or didn’t see it streamed live, you need to watch this speech.  Tito “The Builder” Munoz gave one of the best speeches yesterday and had the crowd fired up …

What Barry and Bush Talked About Today (Comic)
  31 Aug 2010     6:27 pm

President Barack Obama telephoned President George Bush today. The White House won’t disclose what was talked about, but this might be accurate.

Palin Knows the Difference (Comic)
  26 Aug 2010     1:54 pm

I am a fan of the comics at Comixed. Some of them are not family friendly, but some of them make me laugh out loud. Like this one.
There aren’t enough political ones for my taste, so I thought I’d try my hand at making one.
Here’s my first attempt. What do you think?

Obama’s Speech in Racine Channeled Thomas Sowell circa 1996, (and not in a good way)
  1 Jul 2010     9:50 pm

If you are not a fan of Thomas Sowell, you should be. A few years ago, I read his book, “Vision of the Anointed.” There was one particular section of the book that stuck with me, and it is especially relevant considering the speech President Obama gave yesterday in Racine, Wisconsin.
Here is what the president said:
Now, every economist who has looked at it has said that the recovery did its job. It put a brake on the collapse of the economy. We avoided a Great Depression. We are now growing …

I made this.  It was originally titled, “10 Reasons to Vote for Democrats This November.”
Then Joe Biden went for frozen custard.

MSNBC Poll: 96% Support Arizona Immigration Law
  5 Jun 2010     9:01 am

I just voted here. Below is a screenshot following my vote.

If you can’t see it, this is after close to half a million votes.

Yet the administration treats Arizona worse than overseas enemies. Makes sense.

Pastor Stephen Broden on Michael Steele: “Michael Steele is Wrong.”
  1 May 2010     11:37 pm

Pastor Stephen Broden said the opening prayer at the Winning America Back event in Independence, Missouri. He’s the Republican candidate for Congress in Texas’ 30th District. I was able to tag along with Jim Hoft and asked him about Michael Steele’s assertion that black Americans didn’t have a reason to vote for Republicans.
His answer – epic:

Pastor Broden is facing off against socialist Eddie Bernice Johnson. You can donate to his campaign here. Jim Hoft’s post on the answer is here.

New Anti-Administration Billboard in Missouri
  26 Apr 2010     5:13 pm

I was driving to St. Joseph, Missouri to buy some new windows at Lowe’s, when I noticed this billboard.

The billboard is next to an overpass, and it would be dangerous to get a closer picture. It reads:
The Current Administration Underestimates The Will of We The People. Vote Them OUT in November.
I think this one is clear enough to get the message across.
Remember in November.

Facts Have No Place in a Liberal’s Argument
  21 Apr 2010     11:33 am

I commented on my Facebook page earlier today that I enjoy a good debate. Here’s the problem. Often, an argument with a liberal results in their use of hyperbole, emotion and the creation of a logic vacuum. Let me give you an example of how logic and facts have no place in a liberal argument.
Matt Davies drew this political cartoon and it was instantly dubbed, “Brilliant.”

Let us begin the dissection.
First of all, the illustration is factually incorrect. The Tea Party demonstrations do not result in garbage and protest sign strewn …

Obama Wants You to Sit Down and Shut Up (Video)
  18 Apr 2010     1:46 pm

As I wrote at Pajamas Media, President Obama is currently on a Health Care Comedy Tour. He is addressing his myrmidons across this country and utilizing Saul Alinsky’s advice.
This isn’t about logic or forming a coherent argument. This is about ridicule, “man’s most potent weapon.”
Those are the words of the granddaddy of community organizers, Saul Alinsky. In his book Rules for Radicals, Alinsky wrote: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.”
On this, he’s …

Non-Islamic Extremist Tries to Light Shoes On Fire on Flight from DC to Denver Mouthy Diplomat Causes Mid Air Tension, Jets to Scramble
  7 Apr 2010     10:31 pm

Above the post update:
It’s all a joke? Dude just tried to smoke on a plane?
9Wants to Know has learned, the passenger had spent a lot of time in the bathroom and when he came out, an air marshal on the plane smelled smoke and asked the person what he had been doing.
The person responded that he had been trying to set his shoes on fire.
NBC says it appears the person may not have had any incendiary devices on him.
He is described as 25 to 26 years old …

Private and Parochial Schools Not Invited to White House Easter Egg Roll
  24 Mar 2010     4:00 pm

Secretary Arne Duncan presented District of Columbia Mayor Adrian Fenty with an Easter basket filled with 3,000 tickets to the White House Easter Egg Roll. There was one catch: don’t give them to private or parochial school students.
And homeschoolers, don’t even think about it. You get the lottery like everyone else.
Oh, and the lottery is already closed:

The 3,000 reserved tickets will be distributed to students at 11 public schools in D.C. and a few others in Virginia and Maryland. Children at private or parochial schools in the Washington …

Judiciary Chair Cites Non-Existent Constitutional Clause in Justifying UnConstitutional Insurance Mandate
  23 Mar 2010     1:16 pm

As of right now, 12 states have filed suits against the federal government for their unConstitutional requirement that all Americans must purchase health insurance. Never before has the federal government compelled Americans to purchase a product, regardless of the reason.
So where does it get this power?
That’s what CNS News asked Rep. John Conyers, House chair of the Judiciary Committee. Here’s what he said:

Conyers said: “Under several clauses, the good and welfare clause and a couple others. All the scholars, the constitutional scholars that I know — I’m chairman of the …

Will Tom Hanks Screw Up “The Pacific?” Sounds Like He Might
  10 Mar 2010     4:10 pm

Tom Hanks has brought more attention to the stories of World War II than one man can be expected to bring. However, a recent article in Time magazine makes me wonder what he is going to do with stories from the Pacific Theater.
The Pacific, his new 10-hour epic about the Pacific theater in World War II, plays out against a very different backdrop, when the country is weary of war and American exceptionalism is a much tougher sell. World War II in the European theater was a case of massive …

An Acorn is Not Equal To A Fetus
  1 Mar 2010     9:23 pm

A writer for the Chicago Sun-Times, Neil Steinberg, has a problem with anti-abortion legislators refusing to allow the health care bill to go forward with language that makes tax dollars available for abortions.
Hard to believe, I know.
In order to illustrate his disdain with the opponents of the health care bill, Steinberg decides to abort logic:
As happens when twisting language, the “saving babies” metaphor leads to ironies. For instance, if health-care reform sinks — as it seems to be — part of the scuttling will be due to timid politicians loathe …

12 Year Old in “Vegetative State” After Tonsil Surgery in Canadian Hospital While Canadian Premier Comes to U.S. for Treatment
  2 Feb 2010     6:24 pm

When I first read the story of 12 year old Dylan Campbell, I was saddened for the family, and for Dylan. But I didn’t see how responsible the hospital was for his condition. See, this is the first explanation, as written at CBC.ca:
Dylan Campbell had the routine tonsillectomy in November and was released. However, about five days later, his mother rushed him back after he started coughing up blood, according to Morris Swan Shannacappo, grand chief of the Southern Chiefs Organization, an advocacy group for First Nations people in southern …

Zero Tolerance Lunacy: Student Expelled for Having Guns in His Truck…Off Campus
  7 Jan 2010     4:55 pm

I remember pulling into the high school parking lot and seeing guns hanging in the back windows of pickups parked there.  But that was a time long ago, before Columbine, the death of common sense and the rise of zero tolerance.
Today it’s common knowledge that you don’t bring a gun to school.  Gary Tudesko, a junior at Willows High knew this, so after a morning of duck hunting, he parked his truck off campus, unloaded the guns and locked the doors.
Then he walked to school.
However:
The shotguns were discovered in the …
