I endorse J.D. Winteregg over John Boehner in #OH8
  22 Feb 2014     4:13 pm

I had a chance to speak with John Boehner’s primary challengers in OH-8 and came away very impressed with J.D. Winteregg. The man gets it. He gets the dire circumstances that the country is facing and he understands that John Boehner has been a singularly ineffective Speaker of the House. He needs to be unseated.

DRJ: J.D., tell us a little about yourself and your rationale for running against John Boehner.
JD: I’m a teacher part-time and an adjunct professor and am also working on my PhD at Ohio …

LAST CALL FOR LIBERTY: I refuse to give up this Republic without a fight!
  25 Oct 2012     1:06 pm

.spbas a { text-decoration: underline; background-color: #333333; color: #6666CC; }

You don’t have to ride on a treacherous, unlit cow path from the north-side of Boston to Lexington as the King’s Regulars attempt a surprise attack on the Sons of Liberty.
You don’t have to board a frigate, sail for weeks across the Atlantic and then sack a city in Tripoli to rescue your imprisoned countrymen.
You don’t have to kill a British soldier in a desperate, hand-to-hand struggle after leaping out of a boat on the beach at York during the War …

SCANDAL: White House Leaked Names of SEAL and CIA Operators to Hollywood
  18 Sep 2012     8:17 pm

I’ll take “Would do anything to get reelected” for a thousand, Alex.

Last July, a top Pentagon official gave two Hollywood filmmakers the name of a Navy SEAL involved in training the squad of commandos who carried out the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. Now, the Obama administration is fighting to keep that same name from the public.

In legal papers filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Washington, the Justice Department argued that the government is under no obligation to make public the SEAL’s name or the names of Central …

Eric Holder and the Strange Case of Endemic Racism
  2 Jun 2012     12:15 pm

Attorney Generic Eric Holder once again leveled charges of endemic racism against a state, this time accusing Florida of disenfranchising minorities by requiring photo identification and attempting to clean up voter rolls.
Holder asserted that requiring a valid ID to vote is racist, stating, “In my travels across this country, I’ve heard a consistent drumbeat of concern from citizens, who—often for the first time in their lives—now have reason to believe that we are failing to live up to one of our nation’s most noble ideals… some of the achievements that …

Obamanomics: Tide laundry detergent being used as currency in some U.S. neighborhoods
  13 Mar 2012     7:22 am

Didn’t this happen in Zimbabwe just before their currency collapsed?
…Theft of Tide detergent has become so rampant that some cities are setting up special task forces to stop it and retailers like CVS are taking special security precautions to lock down the liquid.
…Tide has become a form of currency on the streets. The retail price is steadily high — roughly $10 to $20 a bottle — and it’s a staple in households across socioeconomic classes.
Tide can go for $5 to $10 a bottle on the black market, authorities say, and …

What Would Breitbart Do? Rally for Rush!
  5 Mar 2012     9:43 pm

Jeffrey Lord’s latest must-read in the American Spectator is a call to action to defend free speech, inspired by Andrew Breitbart’s example. It traces the advertisers that have abandoned Rush’s program, many after decades of support. Lord notes that only a pathetic 21 percent of Americans identify themselves as liberals. And he rightly observes that disenfranchising 79 percent of Americans is a decidedly flawed business strategy.
The time to be bullied is over. You hear me? It’s over.
Here’s how we’re going to fight back against …

Good News: DHS Spending $11 Million Scouring Web for People Criticizing… DHS
  28 Feb 2012     7:14 am

I’d have loved to have heard the shrieks of indignation coming from The New York Times and the rest of the leftist infrastructure had John Ashcroft and other Bush administration officials engaged in this kind of outrageous behavior.
No double standards here, folks.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has been paying a defense contractor $11.4 million to monitor social media websites and other Internet communications to find criticisms of the department’s policies and actions.
A government watchdog organization, the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC), obtained hundreds of documents from DHS through the …

Absolutely no spin at all: how the AP reports Obama’s hostage crisis in Egypt
  25 Feb 2012     11:06 pm

My, doesn’t the Associated Press bring an even hand to this story?
Official: US seeks end to Egypt NGO case in days
By MATTHEW LEE
Associated Press
RABAT, Morocco (AP) — A senior U.S. official says the Obama administration is in “intense discussions” with Egypt to resolve the legal case against 16 American democracy advocates that has badly damaged ties between the countries “in the coming days”
The official, speaking to reporters on condition of anonymity due to the delicacy of the matter, said Saturday that Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton had raised the …

Barack’s Latest Magic Trick: Making One Million Workers Disappear
  14 Jan 2012     9:58 pm

Investors Business Daily calls it, simply, “Unprecedented.” I call it, eh, historic.
Initial jobless claims unexpectedly jumped by 24,000 last week to 399,000 as more workers lost their jobs, the Labor Department said Thursday. At the same time, the economy continues to lose workers.
In the 30 months since the recession officially ended, nearly 1 million people have dropped out of the labor force — they aren’t working, and they aren’t looking — according to data from Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics. In the past two months, the labor force shrank …

Jesse Jackson’s advice for black fathers: teach your children the value of reading. Just kidding, he wants them to teach kids how to fight.
  22 Dec 2011     10:47 pm

Mush-mouthed race hustlers hardest hit:
There’s no guarantee the being a black father will stop this because they’re killing black fathers too. One of the tragedies of this [garbled] is that you don’t have to be guilty to be crucified – killing the innocent. Therefore we must overwhelm them with numbers. That becomes our strength to fight back.
When I was younger I would say I wanted my children to get educated so that they wouldn’t have to go through what I’ve gone through. …

Hell’s Door vs. the Incandescent Light Bulb
  4 Dec 2011     9:53 pm

In the middle of the Karakoum (Turkmenistan) desert, close to the tiny nomadic village of Darvaza, there is a crater about 100 meters in diameter and more than 25 meters deep. It is called “Hell’s Door”. Inside this well, a fire has been burning for more than 40 years.
A Soviet prospecting mission began here in the fifties. In 1971, a drilling operation exposed an underground cavity that discharged enormous quantities of gas. Thinking the supply of gas would last but a few weeks, Soviet engineers decided to …

Botox-laden swamp-drainer made $100K in two days by savvy investing and blocking legislation, but mostly blocking legislation
  16 Nov 2011     1:28 am

Retail investors would love to learn former Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s investing secrets, which magically increased her net worth 62% during the worst of the financial crisis (spiking her portfolio’s value from $22 million to $35.2 million in a year’s time).
CBS News explains how the Botox-laden, swamp-draining, small business-stiffing Pelosi made her millions:
The former speaker and her husband have participated in at least eight IPOs, one of which was from Visa in 2008 – just as a troublesome piece of legislation that would have hurt credit card companies began making its …

Israeli officials: Former UN atomic chief ElBaradei was an Iranian agent
  9 Nov 2011     8:13 pm

Chalk this up as another U.N. success story. Dan from New York explains:
Apparently, when the findings of the latest IAEA report on Iran’s nuclear weapons program are compared to earlier reports crafted by “moderate” Egyptian Mohamed ElBaradei, the obvious conclusion is that ElBaradei was working for the Mullahs. ElBaradei has since moved on. He’s now one of the leading candidates vying to be Egypt’s president.

State treasurer of MA absolutely shreds RomneyCare, which “has nearly bankrupted the state” and is surviving solely because of federal aid
  27 Oct 2011     7:30 pm

The level of economic illiteracy required to believe that a one-sized-fits-all, individually-mandated, government-controlled health care system could somehow succeed is really quite stunning. Which says a lot about Mitt Romney’s belief in free enterprise and the market system.
“If President Obama and the Democrats repeat the mistake of the health insurance reform here in Massachusetts on a national level, they will threaten to wipe out the American economy within four years,” Cahill said in a press conference in his office.
…[T]he state’s health insurance law…Cahill said, “has nearly bankrupted the state.”

Oh, Super: Romney Consulted With Obama Mass Sterilization Expert and Science Czar John Holdren
  14 Oct 2011     10:19 pm

The ever-morphing policy positions of Mitt Romney are sufficiently disturbing on their own.
But if it’s true that Romney consulted with Obama’s crazed ‘Science Czar’ John Holdren, he should step out of the GOP race today.
Barack Hussein Obama has clotted the executive branch with unaccountable “czars” — unsavory characters too extreme to be confirmed for cabinet positions even by a hyper-partisan, Democrat-controlled Senate. Among the most alarming of these malevolent lunatics is Science Czar John Holdren, a participant in ClimateGate who has advocated de-developing America and putting sterilants in the public …

Attention AFL-CIO, IBEW, Teamsters and UMW Members: Your Christmas Gift From the White House is Here… 116,000 Layoffs
  22 Sep 2011     7:15 pm

CleanTechnica gleefully reports that effective January 2012, the EPA is scheduled to shut down 20 percent of all coal plants in America.
The EPA will shut down an estimated 20% of the nation’s coal plants through the ground-level ozone rule (the Cross-State Air Pollution Rule (CSAPR) ) through cap and trade that is about to be implemented in January 2012. Opponents of the Obama administration’s “over-reaching” EPA say these are costly regulations. Financial analysts estimate that the cost of this rule will be $130 billion by 2015. But if that figure is correct, that’s …

They told us that allowing law-abiding citizens to carry concealed weapons would turn our streets into rivers of blood.
They told us that taking trillions of dollars and giving it to those “who truly needed it” would cure poverty.
They told us that giving home loans to those who couldn’t afford them would make the American dream achievable for all.
They told us that paying into the Social Security “Trust Fund” would guarantee a comfortable retirement for everyone.
They told us that allowing teachers to unionize in public schools would help inner city students …

Boom: Congressional Investigators Find Evidence of a Gunwalker Coverup
  1 Sep 2011     9:03 pm

You’ve got to give CBS credit on two fronts: they’ve doggedly pursued the biggest DC scandal since Watergate and they fired Dan Rather.
Congressional investigators tell CBS News there’s evidence the U.S. Attorney’s office in Arizona sought to cover up a link between their controversial gunwalking operation known as “Fast and Furious” and the death of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.
Terry was murdered in Arizona near the US border last December. Two assault rifles ATF had allegedly allowed onto the street without interdiction were found at the scene…
…the lead prosecutor on …
