When The Left Is Watched: Racism!
  30 Aug 2010     10:34 pm      Melissa Clouthier

Organizing for America, ACORN and whatever new name and incarnation of these Democrat groups may be blame Republicans for the recent fire burning down the building with voting machines in Houston, Texas. Of course, the accusation is patently false.
What is more interesting to me is this reported by Brad Jackson:
Smith didn’t stop with his accusations at just voter suppression, he also claimed that the Right, specifically True the Vote, is racist. As is standard Democrat practice these days, whenever you disagree with them, or work against a policy or political …

Newspeak Dictionary Update
  30 Aug 2010     2:09 pm      Dave Blount

Compliments of J.
Please disregard the directive above. The criminal colonists invading our country and helping to reduce it to a Third World hellhole are now to be called Economic Migrants. The liberal Guardian reports on the fun in northern Mexico that has already begun to spill over the resolutely undefended border:
The body of an official investigating the massacre of 72 Central and South American migrants killed in a ranch in the northeastern Mexican state of Tamaulipas was found today dumped beside a nearby road alongside another unidentified victim, according to …

EPA Backs Off on Second Amendment Attack
  30 Aug 2010     1:54 pm      Dave Blount

There is no limit to the tyranny our liberal rulers would like to impose on us. However, there are limits to what they can get away with, and they know it. An attempt to repeal the Second Amendment through a ban on lead ammunition by the fascists infesting the EPA has been abandoned:
In a swift and unexpected decision, the Environmental Protection Agency today rejected a petition from environmental groups to ban the use of lead in bullets and shotgun shells, claiming it doesn’t have jurisdiction to weigh on the controversial …

The Secret Behind Those Big Conspiracy Poll Numbers
  30 Aug 2010     1:35 pm      John Hawkins

As someone who has been fighting conspiracy theories on the net for years, there’s a particular trend that has caught my eye. After a conspiracy theory reaches maturity and becomes widely known, it’s not unusual to see polls show that 30-40% of the population buys into it.
That has been true of the birther argument (although Obama was certainly born in Hawaii, I don’t think that qualifies as a conspiracy theory any more than the “We invaded Iraq for oil” claim by the lefties, but it’s close enough) and the …

My Thoughts On The “Restoring Honor” Rally
  30 Aug 2010     11:24 am      Kathleen McKinley

I was taking a “wait and see” approach to Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally in D.C. this past Saturday. Happily, it was pretty much what I expected. Beck has become deeply religious in the past decade, after hitting rock bottom in his life as a drug addict many years ago. He knows what it is to be broken, and then to put the pieces back together, and find that life can be quite beautiful. His speech was inspiring, uplifting and spiritual. All the speeches were quite beautiful. I’m sure many …

Barrack Obama: Smearing America Worldwide
  30 Aug 2010     11:22 am      John Hawkins

Apparently having an honest bone in your body, a slice of human decency, or an ounce of shame are disqualifiers if you want a job at the White House. Just look at the sickening, anti-American toadying they’re engaged in now
Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer demanded Friday that a reference to the state’s controversial immigration law be removed from a State Department report to the United Nations’ human rights commissioner.
The U.S. included its legal challenge to the law on a list of ways the federal government is protecting human rights.
In a …

Frank Rich’s Tea Party Lies
30 Aug 2010     10:00 am      Warner Todd Huston

Frank Rich’s column in the New York Times opinion section today was at the very least two things: Lies and the rehashed work of another writer. But it was also a third thing and that third thing was cover for his buddy in the Oval office and for the hard-core left-wing agenda he’s trying to force down our throats. Rich lent that cover by desperately trying to discredit “the Tea Party “as a funded-from-the-top, sham of a movement. The truth is, though, that “the Tea Party” is not funded by …

What If They Held A Climate Creationist Event, And No One Came?
  30 Aug 2010     9:30 am      William Teach

Poor little climate creationists, they are truly suffering. After all their histrionics, after pouring their hearts and souls into unhinged talking points, they have to admit they’re losing
On Thursday, some of the country’s most respected environmental groups – in the midst of their biggest political fight in two decades – sent a group of activists to Milwaukee with a message.
We’re losing.
They put on what they called a “CarnivOil” – a fake carnival with a stilt-wearing barker, free “tar balls” (chocolate doughnuts), and a suit-wearing “oil executive” …

Miss. School: Only White Students can be Class Prez, Only Blacks Vice Prez
30 Aug 2010     9:00 am      Warner Todd Huston

In Mississippi, Nettleton Middle School is finally doing away with its policy of portioning school class officer positions by race. As the policy stood before this month, the student officer positions were set up so that if you wanted to run for eighth grade class president you had to be white while if you wanted to be vice-president, why you had to be black.
Before you get the wrong idea, here, this is a 30-year holdover policy meant to assure that both blacks and whites were represented on the school student …

USA Today Tries To Provide Shelter For Obama And Dems On Stimulus
  30 Aug 2010     8:33 am      William Teach

With the mid-term elections fast approaching, and the blood-bath that should occur, the Credentialed Media is doing all they can to prop Obama and the Democrats up, especially regarding the economy. They try pithy things like
Economists agree: Stimulus created nearly 3 million jobs
in order to show that Democrats have actually Done Something. Of course, they forget the part where the economy is still in the tank, and is backsliding after some gains. They forget that Democrats wasted 8 months whining about ObamaCare, and really have no clue what to do, …

One Loud Jew Sends Media Spinning
30 Aug 2010     8:00 am      Warner Todd Huston

The newest faux outrage comes from the mouth of controversial Jewish Rabbi Ovadia Yosef. In a sermon from Israel, Rabi Yosef as much as called for God to commit genocide against the so-called Palestinians. I say “as much as” because he didn’t actually call for genocide, but he came awfully close for comfort. In fact, even as he didn’t say it explicitly it’s hard not to see it being implied.
“Abu Mazen and all these evil people should perish from this earth,” said Rabbi Yosef, head of the Israeli Shas party. …

The Defending The American Dream 2010 / Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally Picture Dump (41 Pics)
  30 Aug 2010     2:58 am      John Hawkins

The fine folks over at Americans For Prosperity paid my way into D.C. so I could attend their Defending the American Dream Summit. This is the third year in a row that I’ve attended (The 2009 coverage is here, while the 2008 coverage was spread out across multiple posts).
I always enjoy the event, although this year, it was a bit abbreviated so that it could tie into the Glenn Beck rally. Instead of a two day event, it was a one day event and my guess is that the …

Meghan McCain infamously posted a picture of her, shall we say, “cups over-flowing” on Twitter the very same day that the Balloon Boy hoax went …

$400 K For State Employee That Never Showed for Work For 12 Years
29 Aug 2010     7:15 pm      Warner Todd Huston

CNN reports that an employee contracted with the state of Virginia for 12 years seems to have never actually done any work for the agency she was attached to, Norfolk officials say.
This employee was discovered by the new director of the Norfolk Community Services Board who was looking through the office’s records finding the no-show job. Once the new director found this freeloader she was terminated and charges may be filed over the more than $400,000 she was paid for her “work” these last 12 years.
Apparently this woman “worked” for …

President Barack Obama Claims Credit on Iraq War
  29 Aug 2010     11:26 am      Donald Douglas

For all of the socialism and Islamist-appeasement of this administration, the one thing that has bothered me the most about this president (and candidate in 2007-08) is his screechingly perverse antiwar ideology and opportunism. Barack Obama was the most antiwar Senator in Congress throughout 2007 and in 2008 he tried to play both sides of the fence: After opposing the surge he then turned around and hailed its success, while insisting once more that the war was wrong. As noted in his New York Times op-ed in July 14, 2008, …

Caracas is the Murder Capital of the World
  29 Aug 2010     10:37 am      Lee Doren

We are always hearing from the Far-Left how Capitalism creates crime. They argue that economic inequality is the reason why people steal from others. However, it is rather ironic to notice that Caracas, Venezuela is now the murder capital of the world. Someone better tell Sean Penn.

MSM Beclowning: Digging For Ways To Slur Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally
  29 Aug 2010     9:05 am      William Teach

When you really, truly need to see the the Old Media make complete fools and clowns of themselves, well, here is Epic Fail
Glenn Beck is borrowing some lines from President Barack Obama.
At his rally with tens of thousands on the steps of Lincoln Memorial, Beck used the closing lines of then-candidate Obama’s campaign stump speech of 2008.
“One man can change the world,” Beck told the crowd. “That man or woman is you. You make the difference.”
Obama used a similar message on the campaign trail. He used to say that one …

The Knicker Implosion
  28 Aug 2010     11:18 pm      Morgan Freeberg

It is atomic. In my never-to-be-humble opinion…
None of this is anything like what it sounds like. “Atomic” sounds like “Thermonuclear,” and the mind leaps to conclusions. No, I mean it in a literal sense. Our blogger friend in New Mexico, Buck, has chosen to excerpt from the tract. That’s quite alright, but I have opted for a different approach because I consider it to be something of a fool’s errand trying to find the right place to start the carving.
Atomic things, in the blogger universe, are a reality. They are …

Meanwhile, in war crimes news today…
  28 Aug 2010     2:06 pm      TrogloPundit

…this story:
KABUL, Afghanistan – U.S. and Afghan troops repelled attackers wearing American uniforms and suicide vests in a pair of simultaneous assaults before dawn Saturday on NATO bases near the Pakistani border, including one where seven CIA employees died in a suicide attack last year.
If you’re keeping score at home, yes: donning the enemy’s uniform to gain an advantage in battle is against the Geneva Conventions.
The raids appear part of an insurgent strategy to step up attacks in widely scattered parts of the country as the U.S. focuses its resources …
